Scene 1 – The prophets foretell the coming Messiah

Will You Be Ready? People who walk in darkness have seen a great light. The light will shine upon them; may it shine brightly tonight. Will you be ready for the light, ready for the light to shine upon you? Will you be ready for the light, ready for the light to shine? Will you be watching? Will you be listening? Will you hear the angels sing? Will you be waiting? Will you be searching for a Savior and a king? People keep watching, true light is coming, look for a bright star in the East. Look for the Christ Child, born in a manger, there you will find the Prince of Peace.

Scene 2 – The angel visits Mary and Joseph; Jesus is born

Silent Night/Stille Nacht (German carol) Silent night, holy night, all is calm, all is bright, round yon virgin mother and child, Holy infant so tender and mild, Sleep in heavenly peace. Sleep in heavenly peace.

Scene 3 – The shepherds learn of Jesus’ birth

He Is Born/Il est né (French carol) He is born, the divine Christ Child, play the oboe and bagpipes merrily! He is born, the divine Christ Child, sing we all of the Savior’s birth. Through long ages of the past, prophets have foretold his coming. Through long ages of the past, now the time has come at last.

Scene 4 – The shepherds go to Bethlehem

Rise Up, Shepherd, and Follow Rise up, rise up, rise up, shepherd and follow. Rise up and follow that star. There’s a star in the East on Christmas morn, Rise up, shepherd and follow. It will lead to the place where Christ was born, Rise up, shepherd and follow. Follow, follow, rise up, shepherd and follow. Follow the star of Bethlehem. Leave your sheep and leave your lambs, Leave your ewes and leave your rams.

Scene 5 – The Magi follow the star

From a Distant Home/De Tierra Lejana Venimos (Puerto Rican carol) Holy news proclaim, O wondrous star so bright, Never stop your shining blessed heavenly light! Glory raised on high and lifted to the Savior in the world tonight may peace and love bless all. To you I bring gold, O King of all the world, symbol of your reigning in the highest heaven.

Scene 6 – We celebrate the story of Christmas

Silent night, holy night, Son of God, love’s pure light, Radiant beams from Thy holy face, With the dawn of redeeming grace, Jesus, Lord, at Thy birth. Jesus, Lord, at Thy birth.

Silent night, holy night, Wondrous star, lend Thy light; With the angels let us sing, Alleluia to our King; Christ the Savior is born, Christ the Savior is born.

CHRISTMAS BLESSING Rev. Kendrick, Jr.

(Please extinguish your candles at the conclusion of the prayer.)

1. Joy to the world, the Lord is come! Let earth receive her King; let every heart prepare him room, and heaven and nature sing, and heaven and nature sing, and heaven, and heaven, and nature sing. 2. Joy to the world, the Savior reigns! Let all their songs employ; while fields and floods, rocks, hills, and plains repeat the sounding joy, repeat the sounding joy, repeat, repeat the sounding joy.

3. No more let sins and sorrows grow, nor thorns infest the ground; he comes to make his blessings flow far as the curse is found, far as the curse is found, far as, far as the curse is found. 4. He rules the world with truth and grace, and makes the nations prove the glories of his righteousness, and wonders of his love, and wonders of his love, and wonders, wonders of his love.
