A glimpse of the orca Many people would give anything
to see orcas in their natural
environment.
Orcas need our attention
Whenever and wherever orcas appear they generate a huge amount of attention. This awesome predator has fascinated us for centuries. And rightly so!
Magazine concept
Orcazine is a special interest magazine about orcas and
related topics. Its primary role is to inform, educate and
inspire a wider public audience. We shall achieve this through
the presentation of engaging articles and beautiful images
in eye-catching designs. We will generate awareness and
commitment to promote protection and research of orcas.
Here, writers, biologists, photographers and artists can share
their passion for orcas with a worldwide audience.
Orcazine is a private initiative. Independent and non-
commercial. To refund the expenses for creating and
managing Orcazine it is wholly dependent on sponsorship.
Orcas are hugely popular with the public.
They are the major attraction at marine
parks and whale-watching activities and
have become icons of the marine life.
With their spectacular appearance,
intelligence, hunting methods and
sometimes almost human traits they
generate a lot of attention from both the
scientific community as well as the general
public. They are the most studied marine
mammals in the world but still scientists are
discovering new and astounding facts. What
we do know is that they are an important
indicator of the health of the oceans.
