The following orations are instituted in the name of the donor or the name suggested by him/her, on receipt of the donation. The annual interest accrued from the donation is utilized for organizing the oration by inviting an eminent personality in the specialty. The list of Orations instituted are:

1. The 9th Annual Balaji Gold Medal Nephrology Chair oration was delivered by Dr Ravi Raju, Vice Chancellor, Dr NTRUHS, Vijayawada on 21st January, 2017 on the topic “Non-Invasive Detection of Allograft Rejection – Primetime for Gene Profiling”. The oration was organized by the Dept. of Nephrology.

2. The 1st Dr Kalpalatha and Dr Jayarama Guntupalli Medicine Chair Oration was delivered by Dr Narasimhan, Director, Sri Satya Sai Mobile Hospital, Puttaparthi on 24th January, 2017 on the topic “Ideal rural Healthcare Delivery System”. The oration was organized by the Dept. of Medicine.

3. The 3rd Annual Radiation Oncology Gold Medal Chair oration was delivered by Dr B.K. Mohanti, Executive Director & Head, Radiation Oncology, Fortis Memorial Research Institute, Gurgaon and Former Professor AIIMS on 10th February, 2017 on the topic ‘The Landscape of Cancer’. The oration was organized by the Dept. of Radiation Oncology.

4. The 7th Dr Y. Subhashini & Dr Kamalakar Reddy Endowment Oration was delivered by Dr G.R. Sridhar, Director, Endocrine and Diabetes Center, Visakhapatnam on 28th February, 2017 on the topic “Role of information Technology in Medical Practice”. The oration was organized by the Dept. of Endocrinology.

5. The 5th Annual Cherukuri Narasimham and Subhadra Devi Neurosurgery Chair Oration was held on 8th March 2017. Dr Vedantam Rajasekhar, prof. of Neurosurgery, Christian Medical College, Vellore delivered the oration on the topic “Daily Clinical Practice : An Area for Research”. The oration was organized by the Dept. of Neurosurgery.

6. The 1st Annual Balaji Gold Medal Chair Oration in Pathology was delivered by Dr Kumara Swamy Reddy M., Former Dean, SVIMS& Director, Sri Sathya Sai Institute of Higher Medical Sciences, Prasanthigram on 18th March, 2017 on the topic “My Experience with Lymphnodes”. The oration was organized by the Dept. of Pathology.

8. The 3nd Annual Radiology Gold Medal Oration was delivered by Dr Niranjan Khandelwal, HOD, department of Radiodiagnosis, PGIMER, Chandigarh on 14th October, 2017 on the topic “Interventional Oncology present and future”. The oration was organized by the Dept. of Radiology.

9. The 2nd Srinivasa Neurosurgery Endowment Oration was held on 17th October, 2017. Dr D. Raja Reddy, FRCS, Senior Consultant, Neurosurgeon, Apollo Hospital, Hyderabad, delivered the oration on the topic “ Management of High Grade Gliomas with GLA Molecule”. The oration was organized by the Dept. of Neurosurgery

10. The 7th IEA, Tirupati Oration was held on 18th November, 2017. Dr Sanjeev V. Thomas, Professor & Head, department of Neurology, Sree Chitra Tirunal Institute of Medical Sciences and Technology, Trivandrum, delivered the oration on the topic “Epilepsy Care Tailored to Women”. The oration was organized by the Dept. of Neurology.

1. The 4th Annual Cherukuri Narasimham and Subhadra Devi Neurosurgery Chair Oration was held on 8th March 2016. Dr. A.S. Hegde, Director & Prof. of Neurosurgery, M.S. Ramaiah Institute of Medical Sciences, Bangalore delivered the oration on the topic “Aneursm Surgery – Past, Present & Future”. The oration was organized by the Dept. of Neurosurgery.

2. The 6th Dr. Y. Subhashini & Dr. Kamalakar Reddy Endowment Oration was delivered by Prof. Nihal Thomas, Prof. & Head, Dept. of Endocrinology, Christian Medical College, Vellore on 19th March, 2016 on the topic “Insights into the Evolution and pathogenesis of Diabetes in India”. The oration was organized by the Dept. of Endocrinology.

3. The 8th Annual Balaji Gold Medal Nephrology Chair oration was delivered by Dr. K.L. Gupta, Prof. & Head, Dept. of Nephrology, PGIMER, Chandigarh on 25th March, 2016 on the topic “Lupus Nephritis – Current Perspectives”. The chair was organized by the Dept. of Nephrology

4. The 2nd SVIMS Radiology Gold Medal Oration was delivered by Dr. Sanjeev Sharma, HoD, Cardiac Radiology, AIIMS, New Delhi on 8th September, 2016 on the topic “Clinical applications of image guided autologous stem cell therapy in various disease status”. The oration was organized by the Dept. of Radiology.

5. The 1st Srinivasa Neurosurgery Endowment Oration was held on 1st October, 2016. Dr. V.K. Khosla, Ex-Professor & Head, Dept. Neurosurgery, PGIMER, Chandigarh delivered the oration on the topic “Benign yet malignant”. The oration was organized by the Dept. of Neurosurgery.

6. The 1st Annual Balaji Endowment Cardiology Oration was delivered by Prof. Navin C. Nanda, Prof. of Medicine & Cardiovascular Disease, University of Alabama, Birmingham, USA on 3rd October, 2016, on the topic “Three dimensional Echocardiography and its clinical applications”. The oration was organized by the Dept. of Cardiology.

7. The 8th Annual Prof. Nalagatla Balakrishna Reddy Endowment oration was delivered by Dr. Jayaprakash Ojha, Professor & Head, Dept. of Nephrology, IMS, Banaras Hindu University, Varanasi on 28th November, 2016 on the topic ‘AKI in Pregnancy Specific Disorders’. The oration was organized by the Dept. of Nephrology.

8. The 1st Surgical Oncology Gold Medal Chair was delivered by Dr. M. Vijaya kumar, Vice Chancellor, Yenepoya University, Mangalore on 10th December, 2016 on the topic “Changing Face of Surgical Oncology”. The chair was organized by the Dept. of Surgical Oncology.

9. The 2nd Biochemistry Chair Dr. B. Naganna Oration was delivered by Dr. K. Shanthi Naidu, Chief Consultant and Head, Dept. of Laboratory Medicine, Care Hospital, Hyderabad on 28th December, 2016 on the topic “Influence of Industry on Quality improvement in Diagnostic Laboratories – Laboratories Then & Now”. The oration was organized by the Dept. of Biochemistry.

1. The 1st Annual SVIMS Radiation Oncology Chair oration was delivered by Dr J.P. Agarwal, Professor, Dept. of Radiation Oncology, TATA Memorial Hospital, Mumbai on 3rd January 2015 on the topic “Perspectives on improving outcomes in locally advanced head & neck cancer patients”. The chair was organized by the Dept. of Radiotherapy.

2. The 5th Dr Y. Subhashini & Dr Kamalakar Reddy

Endowment Oration was delivered by Prof. R.V. Jaya Kumar, HoD, Dept. of Endocrinology, Amritha Institute of Medical Sciences, Kochi on 12th February 2015 on the topic “Personalized care in Diabetes Management Guidelines and beyond”. The oration was organized by the Dept. of Endocrinology.

3. The 1st Annual SVIMS Radiology Chair Oration was

delivered by Prof. Kakarla Subba Rao, Emeritus Professor of Radiology, KREST, Hyderabad on 27th February 2015 on the topic “Imaging of Mediastinum”. The oration was organized by the Dept. of Radiology.

4. The 3rd Annual Cherukuri Narasimham and Subhadra Devi Neurosurgery Chair Oration was held on 7th March 2015. Prof. I. Dinakar, Former Professor & Head, Dept. of Neurosurgery, NIMS, Hyderabad & Prof. V. Satyanarayana, Former Prof. & Head, Dept. of Neurology, AMC, Vizag delivered the oration on the topics “ Illusion & Reality Correlative Neurophilosophy & How I Learnt Clinical Neurology”. The oration was organized by the Dept. of Neurosurgery.

5. The 1st Annual Medical Oncology Chair

oration was delivered by Prof. Raghunadha Rao Digumarti, Director, Homibhabha Cancer Hospital & Research Centre, Visakhapatnam on 25th March 2015 titled “Targeted Therapy- Are we in the right direction” The chair was organized by the Dept. Medical Oncology.

6. The 8th Annual Celebrations of Cardiology Chair was delivered by Dr Balachander Jayaraman, Prof. of Cardiology & Medical Superintenden, JIPMER, Pondicherry on 13th August 2015 on the topic “Three decades of Cardiac Pacing- A Journey through the Technology”. The oration was organized by the Dept. of Cardiology. Sri. Chadalawada Krishnamurthy, Chairman, TTD Board of trustees attended the programme.

7. The 6th Indian Epilepsy Association (IEA), Tirupati Oration in Epileptology was delivered by Prof. M. Gourie Devi, Emeritus Prof. of Neurology, Institute of Human Behaviour & Allied Sciences (IHBAS), New Delhi on 9th September 2015 on the topic “Impact of Pharmacogenomics on the treatment of Epilepsy”. The oration was organized by the Dept. of Neurology.

8. The 2nd Annual SVIMS Radiation Oncology

Chair oration was delivered by Dr G.K. Rath, Professor & Head, Dept. of Radiation Oncology, DRBRAIRCH, AIIMS, New Delhi on 16th December 2015 on the topic “National Cancer Control Programme of India”. The oration was organized by the Dept. of Radiotherapy.

Sastry, Professor & Head, Dept. of Neurosurgery, NIMHANS, Bangalore delivered the oration titled “Head injury mechanism - impact outcome”. The oration was organized by the Dept. of Neurosurgery

3. The 4th Dr Y. Subhashini & Dr Kamalakar Reddy Endowment Oration was delivered by Dr M.S. Seshadri, Former Professor & Head, Dept. of Endocrinology, Diabetes and Metabolism, Christian Medical College and Hospital, Vellore on 10th March 2014 on the topic “From bedside to research in endocrine practice”. The oration was organized by the Dept. of Endocrinology.

4. The 7th Annual Prof. Nalagatla Balakrishna Reddy Endowment oration was delivered by Dr Amit Gupta, Prof. of Nephrology, SGPGI, Lucknow on 27th March 2014 on the topic ‘Prevention of acute kidney injury’. The oration was organized by the Dept. of Nephrology.

5. The 7th Cardiology Chair Gold Medal Oration

was delivered by Dr Jaganmohan A Tharakan, Prof. of Cardiology & Director, Sree Chitra Tirunal Institute of Medical Sciences & Technology, Trivandrum on 13th December 2014 on the topic “Cardiac electrophysiology – past, present & future”. The oration was organized by the Dept. of Cardiology.
