Installation

ThisdocumentcoverstheinstallationofOracle11gonsystemsrunningWindowsserver2008.PriortoloadingOracle,itisrecommendedthatRISOracleDataServer(RISORANS)V06.01.00.02orhigherbeloadedandport180mustbeallowedthroughthefirewallforcommunicationsviaRIS.AlsorequiredwiththeinstallationofPDS/RISORADSyouneedtodefinetheIntergraphCommonkeyintheregistry,thisisaStringvalueunderthefollowingKEYwhichpointstotheINGRShareFolder:

Bydefault,thesetupprogramwillinstallthedatabasesoftwareandcreatealldatabasefilesontheCdrive.Thedatabasesoftwarerequiresavaried(andcanbelarge)amountofspacesoplanyourinstallationaccordingly.HavinginstalledRISORADSandidentifiedwherethedatabasesoftwareanddatabasefileswillbeinstalled,doubleclickthesetupexecutablelocatedintheOracle11ginstallationdirectory.
