PLANNING TO BE A CATHOLIC TEACHER?

It is important for you to know that to be hired to teach in any Catholic School Board in Ontario, as part of your application for employment, there must be a letter of reference from your pastor. If you (or if your adult child) are planning to apply to teach in a Catholic School a contact with the pastor before Thanksgiving Day (October 8, 2012) is highly recommended. Please plan to have a conversation with your Pastor early in the process, well before applications are to be submitted.

VOLUNTEERS NEEDEDWe are in need of volunteers to assist with preparing Grade 2 children for their First Communion 2012-2013. Volunteers who like to work with children and who can commit to our Saturday morning programsare encouraged to reply. This is a great opportunity for all High school students to complete their volunteer hours. Training will be provided and all volunteers will have to undergo screening before joining this Ministry. We are also looking for dedicated adult volunteers to assist with our Parent Session. Parents who participated in last year’s Program are encouraged to come out and help. • We have space for 115 or so. Last year some families were disappointed so get your registration in early!

subsidizing the cost.• This is city slicker camping! There are flushable toilets, showers, even a store with ice cream

all within easy walking distance.• Everyone’s favourite part seems to be the water fights, and this will be expanded and enhanced

this year! • Father Francis has graciously agreed to come as the priest for the weekend and we will have

mass on Saturday and Sunday morning!• The Youth Group will be running the evening activities again.
