C. Operating System verification It is very important to verify “how’s the operating system being installed”. Is it manually or system pre-loaded (HDD image) before proceeding to the next step. If the operating system is manually installed then please proceed to Step E for Issue Validation, while proceed to Step D for Perform F3 recovery if system is using system pre-load/HDD image.

For advance users, they can try to perform Windows Safe mode to check if drivers or 3rd part software

cause the issue.

Perform Windows Safe Mode

During system restarts, when the POST (memory checking) screen comes up, press F8 repeatedly - This will bring you to the Windows advanced options menu. In the Windows advanced options menu, choose safe mode. Then, under My computer device manager select the device driver being installed and uninstall it.

Note: Safe mode loads Windows OS with a minimal set of drivers and no automatically loaded software. If faulty software or drivers is the cause, safe mode should load correctly. If safe mode works well, then try to do eliminating method among the drivers installed until the user finds the driver that caused the problem. However, user can always try to perform last Known good configuration.
