OPERA UK CONCERT SELECTION
KEEP THE HOME FIRES BURNING an evening of nostalgia and memories.This very successful concert commemorates the 100 years anniversary since WW1, 1914-1918. Through words and music, it evokes those four turbulent years. Many of the songs will be well known and the audience will be asked to join in such favourites as “Pack up your troubles” and “It’s a long way to Tipperary.” An actor guides you through the evening.
WE’LL MEET AGAIN another evening of nostalgia and memories.This is a concert to commemorate the 70th anniversary since the ending of WW2 in 1945. Once again there will be songs from the time, narration from a well known actor and audience participation in the old favourites.
A NIGHT AT THE OPERA 20 operas in one night!This is one of Opera UK’s most popular and most performed concerts. Our talented singers present you with 20 operas rolled into a single night. A “top of the pops” opera evening. A narrator guides you through the evening.
A NIGHT AT THE OPERETTA the lighter side of Opera!This is similar in format to ‘A Night at the Opera’, except that it draws on the lighter side of the opera repertoire, with such composers as Lehar, Strauss, Ivor Novello - with a dash of Gilbert and Sullivan thrown in. A narrator guides you through the evening.
AN EVENING WITH G & SOpera UK’s selection of Gilbert and Sullivan favourites, performed by our talented company, with a narrator to guide you through all those complicated plots.
SONGS FROM THE SHOWS Opera UK’s selection of favourite songs from West End shows – from the 1920’s to the present day – sung by our talented singers, with Stephen Hose at the piano. A narrator guides you through the evening.
3 DIVAS AND A PIANOForget the three tenors and listen to three talented sopranos!
