Symptom

In case are you getting error while opening the attachments in the Shopping Cart with Internet Explorer 8 (IE8): "Unable to open this Internet site. The requested site is either unavailable or cannot be found"

In other browser are working fine.

Environment

Internet Explorer 8 (IE8).

Reproducing the Issue

1. Open a shopping cart; 2. Go to details; 3. Open the 'Notes and attachments' tab 4. Click on any PDF attached document, it will try to Save it. Thats where error pops up:

Cause

2142958 - Opening an PDF attached document in shopping cart on IE8 - Error message: Unable to open this Internet site. The requested site is either unavailable or cannot be found

Version 1 Validity: 15.03.2015 - active Language English

ThereisnoissueindataoftheattachmentfromSRMsidethisreportedproblemduetoanexternalresourcethatisIE8.

Resolution

For IE8 external issues, we have documented in the note 1607811.PleasecheckthemiscrosoftKBarticleforthisparticularerror.FromSRMside,wecannotdoanythingmuchonthisissue.IsupposesomeIE8active-xaddon'sorsomepluginaddonarerequiredforopeningoffice2010attachments.
