    Publikacje o otwartym dostpie s zwykle okrelane mianem publikacji badawczych z jakiego powodu udostpnionych na wolnej licencji. OZE odnosz si do materiaw edukacyjnych i szkoleniowych udostpnionych rwnie na takowej licencji. Jasne jest, e szczeglnie w przypadku szkolnictwa wyszego te dwa pojcia si zazbiaj, gdy publikacje naukowe stanowi znaczn cz oglnie rozumianego zestawu literatury przedmiotu, z ktr musz zapozna si studenci chccy ukoczy ten etap ksztacenia, szczeglnie jeli chodzi o studia podyplomowe i doktoranckie.Mimo tych podobiestw, warto jest te dwa pojcia rozgraniczy, gdy pozwala to na prowadzenie bardziej szczegowej dyskusji i przygotowywanie znacznie bardziej szczegowych planw definiujcych, jakie rodzaje otwartych licencji s najodpowiedniejsze do okrelonych zasobw.
