UJ Institutional Repository (IR): UJDigispase (http://ujdigispace.uj.ac.za:8080/dspace/)
The IR project started in 2007• Parties involved in the development (Library IT, Copyright officer & Rare
Book Collection staff))• DSpace software was used• From 2008 all new Theses & Dissertations (T & D) were uploaded directly
into UJDigispace• UJDigispace officially launched on 24 March 2009 • By mid-2009, all online T & D from the old system were uploaded/migrated
into UJDigispace• Department of Industrial Psychology & Human Management was used
as pilot project. • Vacant post for IR Manager/Administrator• During October 2008 & early 2009: IR was introduced to the Library Staff• Marketing not as such , because of the vacancy• Future plans: Interest from Engineering Faculty & Botany Department
