Red Baron RoomLocated in the downstairs of the Taproom & Grill, the Red Baron Room is Beech Mountain Resort’s version of a speakeasy. The Red Baron name pays homage to the resort’s early days when the original owners incorporated their love of World War I flying aces into the motif of the lodge. The central feature of the Red Baron Room is a French-style bar, circa 1917, serving craft cocktails and rare bourbons. It is the ideal place to grab a quick bite, or play a game of billiards with friends, after a day on the slopes.

Beech Mountain Brewing CompanyBeech Mountain is one of the few resorts on the East Coast to have its own craft brewery on site – Beech Mountain Brewing Company. This award-winning brewery offers two options in the resort village:

Taproom & GrillThe larger of the two options is the Beech Mountain Brewing Company Taproom & Grill, which serves food and drink in a traditional ski lodge setting accented with stone fireplaces. It’s the ideal place to gather for lunch, dinner, a cold beer or a toasty drink. Menu selections are highlighted by sandwiches, burgers, salads and wings.

The Taproom & Grill is also the spot to be après ski. It hosts the resort’s schedule of live music that showcases popular regional and national bands on a regular basis (see the resort website for a listing of shows). The taproom is also a great place to watch the big game or relax with friends and share stories from the slopes.

BrewhouseThe Beech Mountain Brewing Company Brewhouse is located beside the Taproom & Grill in the resort village. This is where all our craft beers available throughout the resort are made.

The Brewhouse offers a traditional brewery experience with opportunities to taste every beer brewed on site. Indulge in a pint of your favorite brew or enjoy a sampling flight of several beers. It’s a fun atmosphere with bar games and weekly happenings like trivia and karaoke.

The Park is Beech Mountain Resort’s freestyle terrain section. It’s a state-of-the-art terrain park with a highly-skilled crew that consistently creates a fun and innovative space to ride rad. The crew focuses on regularly reshaping, reinventing and rotating features from a vast inventory to ensure riders always have something new to enjoy.

Your Responsibility CodeSkiing is enjoyed in many ways. At ski areas you may see people using alpine, snowboard, Telemark, cross country or other specialized equipment, including that used by disabled or other skiers. Regardless of how you decide to enjoy the slopes, always show courtesy to others. Be aware there are elements of risk in skiing that common sense and personal awareness can help reduce. Observe the code listed below, and share with other skiers the responsibility for a great skiing experience:

• Always stay in control, and be able to stop or avoid other people or objects.

• People ahead of you have the right of way. It is your responsibility to avoid them.

• Never, ever stop where you obstruct a trail or are not visible from above.

• Whenever starting downhill or merging into a trail, look uphill and yield to others.

• Always use devices to help prevent runaway equipment.

• Observe all posted signs and warnings. Keep off closed trails and out of closed areas.

• Prior to using a lift, you must have the knowledge and ability to load, ride and unload safely.

Freestyle TerrainFreestyle Terrain may include half-pipes and other features and jumps. These are provided for enjoyment and offer adventure, challenge and fun. However, freestyle terrain use – like all skiing and riding – carries the risk of serious injury. When using freestyle terrain, it is your responsibility to follow this responsibility code:

• When jumping and using this terrain, you assume the risk of serious injury.

• Be courteous and respectful to others.

• Only one user on a terrain feature at a time.

• Never jump blindly: use a spotter when necessary. Look before you leap!

• It is your responsibility to control your body on the ground and in the air.

• Always clear the landing area quickly.

• Always ride or ski in control within your ability.
