Health and Safety Awareness TrainingHealth and safety awareness training for every worker and supervisor became
mandatory on July 1st, 2014. This is a one-time training program; employers are
required to ensure their workers have received this training. The training tools are
designed to help employers assess their own training programs, test worker and
supervisor knowledge of basic workplace health and safety, and keep records of
training.

Workers Welcome Concert
2015 WORKERS WELCOME CONCERT
Presenting the Tonettes at the 2015 Welcome Concert !
On Sunday, May 3th we are pleased to present the 9th annual Niagara Workers Welcome concert. It is an inspiring night of celebration to welcome the offshore workers to Niagara and show appreciation for their valuable contribution to Niagara’s rich agricultural heritage. We are very excited to have the Tonettes perform this year. Individually each member of the trio has an extensive list of accomplishments in the Canadian music scene. Collectively they are a vocal powerhouse guaranteed to uplift and inspire! The concert starts 7:30pm at Orchard Park Church on Hunter Rd, Niagara on the Lake. Farm workers and employers will once again receive free tickets for admission. In order to facilitate this we ask that you contact us by Saturday, April 26 to reserve tickets as seating is limited to 600. If you cannot provide transportation for your employees please let us know as soon as possible so alternate arrangements can be made. “The concert was a fun evening of friendship and fellowship where together we enjoyed a taste of the Caribbean culture while welcoming the valued workers into our community. It is a reminder to them that while they have to leave their families for a few months to make a better life for them, they are welcomed into our families with open arms. Thanks for all the hard work you do to make it happen.” Chris Van de Laar, Owner, Van de Laar Farms “Many thanks to all those involved in organizing the Welcome! The evening was such a huge success, bringing workers, employers, dignitaries and townsfolk all together to enjoy exceptional entertainment...” Scott and Maureen MacSween, Quiet Acres Farm Footage from previous concerts can be viewed at https://vimeo.com/workerswelcomeniagara We look forward to your participation in this unique and exciting event that will allow you to show appreciation to your employees as well help to build a healthy, vibrant community.
