Getting Started (creating a ClassZone account)1. Go to www.classzone.com.2. Click on register first at the top of the page.3. Click on the link to the program for which you want to create an account.4. Click on New Teacher.5. Complete the registration information, starting with the teacher’s access key (on the inside front cover of the Teacher’s Edition), then click Submit.

Accessing the Online Lesson Planner (OLP)1. Go to www.classzone.com.2. Under the heading for the subject area, select the program from the drop-down menu.3. Under Teachers, select a chapter or grade (the OLP is accessible from any chapter or grade).4. Enter your Username and Password, then click Login.5. Click the Lesson Planner button to the left.

Browsing Ancillary Resources1. On the OLP home page, click on Browse Ancillaries to the left.2. Choose one of the search methods, make a selection, and click Browse (or Search).3. Click any resource (blue text) to view and/or print it.

Creating an Individual Lesson Plan*1. On the OLP home page, click on Lesson Planner to the left.2. Click on the Individual Lessons tab.3. Select one of the topics from the drop-down menu, and click “Create a new plan.”4. Complete the Class Preferences Questionnaire, then click Proceed.5. You may change the length of the lesson by clicking the “Add” or “Delete” buttons.*To add more individual plans to your lesson plan menu, follow these same steps for each one.

Creating a Lesson Plan for the Year1. On the OLP home page, click on Lesson Planner to the left.2. Click on the Yearly Plans tab.3. Click “Create a new plan.”4. Complete the Class Preferences Questionnaire (two pages), clicking Proceed at the bottom of each page. 5. Click “Print Week” to print your plans for the week.

Customizing the Yearly Plan1. In the Month View for a yearly plan, scroll down to see the tabbed section below the calendar.2. Click the tab for the action you want to take.3. Follow the instructions.

Customizing the Lesson Plan for a Day1. From an individual lesson plan or from a yearly plan (Month View), click the link (blue text) to the day.2. Make and save changes to your lesson plan (left-hand side).3. From the right, add resources to your lesson plan, clicking the tabs for more resources.4. Browse to find and add resources from other topics.5. Click “Print Today’s Lesson” to view and print your lesson.
