NEW January 2013 – Updates to Existing Tax Reports and New Tax Reports Created

With the recent changes made by the Government of Quebec effective January 1st 2013 to eliminate the current tax

on tax model and adopt more of an HST model, Bell Aliant have made changes to our current Tax Summary

Report and Tax Detail Report and created two new reports Restricted Tax Summary and Restricted Tax Report.

Tax Summary Report - Updated

This Summary report was modified to include all provinces PST and GST associated taxes

Tax Detail Report – Updated

This Detail report was modified to detail all PST and HST associated taxes

Restricted Tax Summary Report – New

A new report specifically displaying the Telecom Taxes at a summary level

A new report specifically to display the detail associated with the Telecom Taxes

July 2010 - Report Changes for Ontario and British Columbia HST

The provincial sales taxes in British Columbia and Ontario are being combined with the federal Goods and

Services Tax (GST) on July 1, 2010 to create Harmonized Sales Tax (HST). British Columbia’s HST will be 12% and

Ontario’s HST 13%. Bell Aliant made changes to the e-billing applications to provide additional information on

the new tax and associated restrictions. The Tax Summary Report, Tax Summary Report drill down and the Tax

Detail Report will now contain the following new columns:

o Atlantic HST

o BC HST

o ON HST

o BC Portion of HST - Telecom Services

o ON Portion of HST – Telecom Services

November 2008 - Statement Page to Detail Report Link

Ability to link from the statement page to a detail report. There are four links available: Taxes, Directory

Advertising, Recurring Charges and Other Charges & Credits. These links will appear as each bill is displayed go

forward



November 2008 - Ability to Toggle display of Account Detail when viewing an expanded statement

Currently when viewing a consolidated expanded statement, the account numbers are displayed at the lowest

statement level. This expanded statement will allow the user to choose whether the account number will be

displayed or whether the consolidation will exclude the account number.



November 2008 - Ability to Compare a statement to previous months’ statements

Provides the user with the ability to select individual accounts or a group of accounts and view a comparison of

the amounts for the current month to those of past months.

Provide the user with the option to view groups of accounts instead of individual accounts on the Manage

Statement page

November 2008 - Ability to download summary drill down information

This feature provides the user with the ability to download to a PDF, CSV or XML file, all of the underlying detail

associated with a group or subgroup in a Summary report



November 2008 - Ability to Make a single payment across multiple accounts

Allow users to make a single payment for a group of individual payment amounts that span multiple accounts.

These would be submitted at the same time with the same processing date, using the same payment method, and

associated with the same lockbox.



November 2008 - Single Statement View

The goal of this feature is to simplify the user experience for a customer with only one account, one statement

and/or one displaying account. A user with one organization and a single account or one display account will

bypass the manage statements page and navigate to the statements page

November 2008 - Cancel a Post-Dated Payment

Users that have the ability to make post dated payments will now be able to cancel a post dated payment up to

the day before it processes

November 2008 - Improved Summary Graphing

Added support for new and improved graphing software. The existing graphing applet is still supported and

continues to be the default charting software. ChartFX is the new graphing software which no longer requires

Java support. Improvements include the ability to specify bar width, bar separation, different color palettes,

various x and y rotations and other items dealing with the legend, borders and grid lines.
