Through our OneMeal program, KATW equips FFCC to invite people into their work through Fight Against Hunger events. Donors and volunteers come together and pack meals for impoverished communities in Haiti, as well as food stores for domestic and international disaster relief provision. KATW is honored to partner with FFCC to meet the physical needs of those they serve and provide immediate relief to communities in times of crisis.

FFCC’s international work began in Mexico and has expanded to countries all over the world. Their focus is to bring assistance through nutritious food, safe drinking water, medical care, educational support and job creation. With all the work that FFCC does, it is with the purpose of providing a hand-up not a hand-out. Bringing sustainable, practical solutions to the issues is the goal of all their efforts. FFCC is equipped and ready to respond to local or global emergencies through the provision of food, safe drinking water, power and medical care. When Haiti was hit with the devastating earthquake of January 2010, FFCC responded. They have since made repeated trips to Haiti and their partnership with the government leaders, medical community and people of Haiti has grown and therefore so has their impact.

Packing meals for FFCC positions them to provide for the communities they serve in Haiti, and positions them with a ready inventory of meals to respond with immediate ASSISTANCE TO CHILDREN & FAMILIES SUFFERING FROM NATURAL DISASTERS.

Kids Around the World provides reliable nutrition to the children served through The Lord’s Kitchen ministry of Grace International. Over 2000 children and at-risk adults are fed daily at our Feeding Centers and schools. This program continues to bring and sustain hope for many impoverished children and families in the Carrefour region of Haiti. The Lord’s Kitchen is a haven where children are fed daily both physically and spiritually.

Grace International was founded by Bishop Joel and wife Doris Jeune, who together oversee and lead the organization. For the past 43 years, Grace International has been impacting lives through theoversight and management of many churches, 70 schools, 3 orphanages, as well as a medical/dental clinic, a pediatric hospital, a home for elderly widows, vocational school and Community sustainablevillages. Inspired by their Christian values and in response to the Great Commission, they have identified and introduced three principal solutions to the needs of the people and communities that they serve: Jesus, Education, Work (JOB). True change comes from within, in order to really help change a life they first start with the heart. They provide health-care, education, spiritual guidance, Children’s feeding programs, youth/Senior ministries and empowered living to families and all those in need within their reach.

Our partnership with JBM provides daily school meals to over 3,500 students throughout their network of 21 schools in the impoverished central regions of Haiti. This ensures that the children start the day with the nourishment and energy needed to come to school, concentrate, learn, play and grow. Every school day these children can count on a warm, nutritious meals to strengthen their bodies and minds.  In pick-up trucks, on the back of donkeys, in the trunk of taxis, and on foot,  nutritious meal packed at our OneMeal events are being delivered to these schools and communities to meet their daily needs.

KATW, in partnership with JBM, is committed to the ongoing growth and development of the children of Haiti, and strengthening these children in body, mind and soul!

In 1977, Rev. Sidoine and Mrs. Athenienne Lucien began Jerusalem Baptist Mission to bring hope into poor communities in Haiti. Over 40 years later, led by their son Pastor Jephthe Lucien, JBM operates a network of 21 schools throughout the impoverished central regions of Haiti. Since Pastor Jephthe joined JBM, he has been busy continuing the work that his father started by planting sister churches and Christian schools and developing economic structures for local families. JBM seeks to bring transformation to communities throughout Haiti through church planting, improving access to education and nutrition to children through strong schools and develop businesses through which community members can support their families without being forced to flee to the big city. The island of Haiti has ten departments and JBM now has a presence in 6 of the 10.
