ONE Global Design Collaboration

ONE Global Design recently presented concepts for both a carpet and LVT product line with Mannington Commercial/Amtico to be introduced at NeoCon 2016. The product lines’ design inspirations were created by nine firm partners representing the East and West Coast of the US, as well as Canada and Mexico. The design teams set out with a goal to develop flooring products that reflect the strong unity of our organization that is created through the diverse nature of the one global design members. With this goal in mind the teams looked at the local landscapes associated with each firm and referred to the One Global Design mantra “Global Reach, Local Touch” for an overriding theme to be expressed in both product lines. JPC Architects was part of the West Coast Carpet Team joining with FME, Wolcott AI, SSDG, and STAFFELBACH creating a vision based on the notion of convergence and divergence occurring at varying scales and the connectivity that creates strength and unity. The East Coast LVT Team, comprised of Hendrick, Design Republic, Meyer, Partners by Design and ZVA group focused on the vibrant cultural landscapes and unique aspects of their individual cities to compose a cohesive and visually stimulating series of tiles that show their view of the world from a different angle. The key points of focus were based on the Power of 10 and interpretation of natural topographic landscapes that reflect unity, merging and fractals of natural elements.
