Since you will be staying more than one week in the city of Cluj-Napoca, we have decided to take you in your free day, somewhere outside of Cluj-Napoca, in order to show you the beautiful surroundings of Cluj and of Transylvania.
Cluj – Turda Salt Mine - Alba Iulia - Jidvei – Cluj Salt Mine Turda The city of Alba Iulia
Only 35 km away from Cluj, we can find the city of Turda. In the Middle Ages the
city was very rich due to the salt mines that were found here.
Alba Iulia is the city that proved itself to be, from ancient times, the main city of
Transylvania. It was appropriately named the “city of the three fortifications”.
Jidvei wines are nurtured in the Tarnave Vineyard which represents the heart of a place filled with history and stories, some true, others imaginary, which give Transylvania a touch of charm.

Cheile Turzii fall certainly amongst the most beautiful and impressive gorges in
Romania, a beautiful karst landscape over 3 km long carved by the Hasdate river in the
jurassic limestones of northeastern Trascau mountains. The caves from Cheile Turzii are
famous thanks to the people that lived here and who used them as shelter during all the
invasions that took place throughout history.

Cluj - Râmeți - Rîmetea - Colțești – Cluj Râmeți Monastery Rîmetea village
A chronicler from Venice described the monastery of Râmeți, in the 15th century
as being “the place where the earth meets the sky, at the good end of the world”. The old wooden church dates from the 12th century, being one of the oldest in Romania.
The village Rîmetea / Torocko is a special one. Situated in a beautiful area at the feet of the Apuseni Mountains it was, until the 19th century, the mining center of Transylvania.
The ruins of the fortress from Colţeşti encompass over 700 years of history and it was built to defend the entire valley against the angry invasions of the Tatars. The fortress lasted until 1713.

Sighișoara
We invite you to discover together with us the “Pearl of Transylvania”, Sighişoara.
Being one of the seven fortresses of the Saxons in Transylvania, Sighişoara is unique in the whole of Romania, being inhabited also today and being fully protected by UNESCO.
Most of the fortification system was kept intact, towers and bastions of defense are watching over the town even today.
The Clock Tower, the former Benedictine monastery, the Hill Church, the narrow streets, but also the house where it is presumed that Vlad Tepes was born in, also known as Dracula, maintain the city's medieval atmosphere.

Half day activities
Aside from the one day trips, we have prepared half day activities for the family and friends of the players. These activities will help you discover the city of Cluj-Napoca and it’s surroundings. Wine tasting at Crama Noastră
Crama Noastră is trying to promote quality Romanian wines – especially Romanian wines made by small producers, but it doesn’t ignore the Romanian costumers appetite for imported wines – by having a selection of wines from Hungary, Spain and Italy.

Muzeul satului
The Ethnographical Museum of Transylvania is the first ethnographical museum in Romania that unfolded its activity continuously since it was founded. This institution gathered with patience and scientific competence, in the 8th decades of its activity, tens of thousands of proofs of the traditional civilization in the Romanian space.

The Banffy Castel situated at 30 km from Cluj-Napoca is the largest castle in Transylvania; it is one the major Baroque attractions of Transylvania. The castles walls hide a lot of history and interesting stories.

Horseback riding
Equitation is a well-known sport, practiced at a professional level or just as a hobby, it is a sport that brings joy practiced at any age. The center of Kalota Lovarda is set in a diversified
landscape of hills, valleys and streams, on the west horizon you can see the ridge of the 1800m high Vladeasa Mountain.
