Please don't say that I gave up, just say that I gave in;Don't say I lost the battle, for it was God's war to lose or win;

Please don't say how good I was, but that I did my best;Just say I tried to do what's right, to give the most I could, not less;

Please don't give me wings or halos, that's for God to do;I want no more than I deserve, no extras, just my due;Please don't give flowers or talk in real hushed tones;

Don't be concerned about me now, I'm with God, I've made it home;Don't talk about what could have been, it’s over and its done

Just see to all my family's needs, especially the little onesWhen you draw a picture of me,  don't draw me as a saint

I've done some good, I've done some wrong, so use all your paint;Not just the bright and light tones, use some gray and dark;

In fact, don't put me down on canvas, paint me in your heart,Don't just remember the good times, but remember all the bad;

For life is full of many things, some happy and some sad,But if you may do something, then I have one request,

Forgive me for the wrong I've done, and with the love that's left,Thank God for my soul's resting, Thank God for I've been blessed,

Thank God for who loved me Praise God who loved me best..

Last Request

I'm only human, I'm just a man/womanHelp me believe in what I could be

And all that I amShow me the stairway I have to climb

Lord for my sake, help me to takeOne day at a time

ChorusOne day at a time sweet Jesus

That's all I'm askin' of youJust give me the strength

To do every day what I have to doYesterday's gone sweet Jesus

And tomorrow may never be mineLord, help me today, show me the way

One day at a time

Do you remember, when you walked among menWell Jesus you know

If you're lookin' below, it's worse now than thenPushin' and shovin' and crowdin' my mind

So for my sake, teach me to takeOne day at a time

“Great is Thy faithfulness,” O God my Father,There is no shadow of turning with Thee;

Thou changest not, Thy compassions, they fail notAs Thou hast been Thou forever wilt be.

Chorus“Great is Thy faithfulness!” “Great is Thy faithfulness!”

  Morning by morning new mercies I see;All I have needed Thy hand hath provided—

    “Great is Thy faithfulness,” Lord, unto me!

Summer and winter, and springtime and harvest,Sun, moon and stars in their courses above,

Join with all nature in manifold witnessTo Thy great faithfulness, mercy and love.

Pardon for sin and a peace that endureth,Thine own dear presence to cheer and to guide;

Strength for today and bright hope for tomorrow,Blessings all mine, with ten thousand beside!

Great is thy FaithfulnessOne Day at a Time

I'm Free

Don't grieve for me, for now I'm free, I'm following the path God laid for me.

I took His hand when I heard Him call, I turned my backand left it all.

I could not stay another day, to laugh, to love, to workor play.

Tasks left undone must stay that way. I found the peaceat the close of the day.

If my parting has left a void, then fill it with rememberedjoy.

A friendship shared, a laugh, a kiss, ah, yes thesethings I too will miss.

But not burdened with times of sorrow I wish you thesunshine of tomorrow.

My life's been full, I've savored much, good friends,good times, a loved one's touch.

Perhaps my time seemed all too brief. Don't lengthen itnow with undue grief.

Lift up your hearts and share with me. God wanted menow, He has set me free.

“In the Sweet by and by”“When the Roll is Called Up Yonder”

“Some Sweet Day”

When the trumpet of the Lord shall sound, and time shallbe no more,

And the morning breaks, eternal, bright and fair;When the saved of earth shall gather over on the other

shore,And the roll is called up yonder, I’ll be there.

ChorusWhen the roll is called up yonder,When the roll is called up yonder,When the roll is called up yonder,

When the roll is called up yonder, I’ll be there.

On that bright and cloudless morning when thedead in Christ shall rise,

And the glory of His resurrection share;When His chosen ones shall gather to their home beyond

the skies,And the roll is called up yonder, I’ll be there.

Let us labor for the Master from the dawn till setting sun,Let us talk of all His wondrous love and care;

Then when all of life is over, and our work on earth is done,And the roll is called up yonder, I’ll be there.

When The Roll is Called Up YonderIn the Sweet By and By

There’s a land that is fairer than day,And by faith we can see it afar;

For the Father waits over the wayTo prepare us a dwelling place there.

Refrain: In the sweet by and by,We shall meet on that beautiful shore;

In the sweet by and by,We shall meet on that beautiful shore.

We shall sing on that beautiful shoreThe melodious songs of the blessed;And our spirits shall sorrow no more,

Not a sigh for the blessing of rest.

To our bountiful Father above,We will offer our tribute of praiseFor the glorious gift of His love

And the blessings that hallow our days.

I’ll Fly Away

Some bright morning when this life is overI'll fly away

To that home on God's celestial shoreI'll fly away

Chorus   I'll fly away oh glory

   I'll fly away (in the morning)   When I die hallelujah by and by

   I'll fly away

When the shadows of this life have goneI'll fly away

Like a bird from these prison walls I'll flyI'll fly away

Just a few more weary days and thenI'll fly away

To a land where joys will never endI'll fly away

Some Sweet Day

We shall reach the summer land,Some sweet day, by and by;

We shall press the golden strand,Some sweet day, by and by;

Oh, the loved ones watching there,By the tree of life so fair,

Till we come their joy to share,Some sweet day, by and by.

ChorusBy and by, Some sweet day,

We shall meet our loved ones gone,Some sweet day, by and by.

At the crystal river’s brink,Some sweet day, by and by;

We shall find each broken link,Some sweet day, by and by;

Then the star that, fading here,Left our hearts and homes so drear,We shall see more bright and clear,

Some sweet day, by and by.

Oh, these parting scenes will end,Some sweet day, by and by;

We shall gather friend with friend,Some sweet day, by and by;

There before our Father’s throne,When the mists and clouds have flown,

We shall know as we are known,
