collaborate with the charity organization and help them conduct the events for the day and as an independent team

by Madhavan SethuramanHead of Department Event Management

• • •In preparation for the final event, extra funds can be collected by conducting events in the MMU campus and take this opportunity to create awareness about our project and possibly gain support and donations. A suggestion would be to setup a week long stall which can run by members from the various departments. The said stall would provide the following : fliers which provide information about our project and our objectives, merchandising such as pens, t-shirts, or any such article which might be of student's interest, audience participation games for a minimum participation fee, any other event such as music/performance or idea which will showcase the talents of the our group which can help raise funds, a collection bin to encourage students to donate their unwanted or old clothing.

On the day of the event, the ideal function would be 3-4 hrs in duration. This is include all the activities set for the day and all the teams in the group will have specific tasks assigned to them. The organization we have collaborated with, has been welcoming and are willing to let us use their space for our function, and if necessary are willing to acquire a larger space which will help us serve a larger number of homeless people. The proposed events for the final day are

as follows; work side-by-side with the charity organization in distributing food and drinks to the homeless, distribute clothes and basic amenities which might be of use to them, provide them with live music or screen a movie while they eat, organize a small health team with the help of a local hospital/clinic to perform basic health checkup, provide a counselor or a job consultant who can help them.

K-SPACE

K-SPACE is created to devise and experiment with a blended work space, utilizing technologies to seamlessly integrate the physical space and virtual spaces. Tools and technologies based in multimodality devices will facilitate collaboration via human-computer interaction, user acceptance, intelligent ambient tools, etc.

K-SPACE is an initiative to create a shared research knowledge space to encourage R&D collaboration between the faculty staff in conjunction with current and future postgraduate research students.

FACULTY OF CREATIVE MULTIMEDIAThe Faculty of Creative Multimedia (FCM) integrates academic study with extensive creative digital technology production work. This proven approach has placed Multimedia University at the forefront of Malaysian creative multimedia education. When the faculty was conceived back in 1997 the pioneers had a specific purpose - to produce digital content designers. In the age strongly driven by knowledge and information, 'content is king' upon which 'form' heavily relies to preserve its significance.
