One Africa Management Limited (OAML) is a Kenyan based project development, engineering and management consultancy.

OAML provides multidisciplinary expertise in:

Generation projects - hydro, gas, wind and solar generation;Transmission projects - all associated power transfer to consumers on and off-grid;Civil infrastructure projects – highways, railways and airports;Environmental projects – environment and social impact assessment associated with all infrastructure developments; andAdvisory projects – urban development.

OAML is a company of the AG Group International that has evolved from Linksoft Group Ltd, a leading, inuential Pan African provider of managed services to telecommunications with a proven and enviable record since its establishment in 1995..One Africa possesses an in-house mix of international and African expertise. One Africa has signed agreements with major international design, construction and project management firms such as Mott MacDonald Limited of the United Kingdom and HSS Integrated Sdn Bhd of Malaysia. Services are delivered through integrated project teams led by experienced project managers and specialist engineers supplemented by environmental, economic and financial expertise as required by specific projects.

Services provided are:

Procurement Preparation of procurement packages including conceptual design, technical specification, commercial terms and conditions, tender evaluation/adjudication reports

Project Development Feasibility including master plan and economic studies, market analysis, risk assessment, monitoring, due diligence and asset evaluation

Engineering & Studies Complete engineering services, preliminary and detail final design reports, principal design and technical specification, reliability, availability and maintainability studies

Environmental Complete environmental and social impact assessment with a focus on minimising impacts on affected communities and involving them fully in the development process

Project Management Complete project and construction management inputs including financier/lender and owner’s engineer roles

Contract Supervision Audit and verification of contractors' detail designs, supervision of construction, erection, commissioning and operation and maintenance

OAML is led by its Principal Head - Business and Projects, Peter Martin, an electrical power engineer specialising in projectmanagement, design, coordination and supervision of infrastructure projects including hydroelectric power, gas combined cycle, transmission and substations and privately developed inner city toll roads.

He has been extensively involved in the development of private sector infrastructure projects including engineering and financing. Peter was the CEO of PNG Sustainable Energy Ltdresponsible for developing renewable energy projects. Peter recently completed his role as Chief Resident Engineer on the 2,400 MW Bakun Hydroelectric Project in Sarawak, Malaysia.

Prior to this he was the project manager for the development of four hydroelectric dams on the White Nile in South Sudan, based in Nairobi Kenya.

One Africa Transmission and Distribution Services is led by Ian Simmons, a professional civil and electrical engineer withmore than 35 years specialist experience in electric power transmission and distribution engineering and construction; focused on physical planning, conceptual design, specifications and cost inputs to pre-feasibility and full feasibility design reportsIan’s expertise also covers project contract packaging, bid documentation, bid conduct across integrated transmission system’s overhead lines substations and downstream distribution networks.

His extensive experience with both public and private sectorproject implementation including major transmission projects globally, and within East Africa (Tanzania, Kenya, Uganda and South Sudan), provides comprehensive understanding of international procedures and practices related to transmission and distribution schemes world-wide as well as related infrastructure facilities being supplied electric power.

OAML Business Development is led by Engineer Job Githinji. Job, who holds an electrical engineering degree from the Technical University of Konstanz, Germany, has over 25 years’ experience in the energy sector. Job’s expertise spans medium and high voltage transmission lines and substations, distribution systems, generation engineering plant and infrastructure.

Job has been involved in the energy transmission, distribution and generation sectors in Kenya, Uganda, Tanzania and South Sudan.

Specific experience includes design and construction supervision of transmission lines and substations including EPC contract administration and quality assurance procedures, network re-configuration and commissioning, operation and maintenance of all types of electrical equipment. Job has been involved in feasibility studies, conceptual designs, tender document preparation, tender evaluation and procurement of contractors for World Bank and African Development Bank funded projects.

Job has an extensive understanding of the infrastructure development dynamics and potential in the African region, having been involved in business development of projects covering multi-purpose dam with power generation, power transmission, water supply and irrigation components, roads and railways, ports and oil refineries.
