There’s much more to treating cancer than treating the

disease itself. Our oncology rehabilitation programs

address everything from medication needs to physical

therapy to psychological support and more. Here,

patients and their families can find strength at every

step of their journey.

The Oncology Program of the Spaulding Rehabilitation Network

delivers specialized expertise in oncology care and rehabilitation,

with multiple levels of care to meet your individual needs. No

matter what your diagnosis or phase of treatment, our goal is the

same: to provide medical and specialty care to improve your

quality of life and help you achieve the highest possible level of

independence. Advances in understanding cancer, coupled with

advances in medical interventions and rehabilitation techniques,

offer new opportunities to make it happen.

As a patient within the Spaulding Network, you and your family

members become members of a team of knowledgeable, dedicated

oncology experts. We emphasize education to provide you and

your family with a comprehensive understanding of the disease and

its effects, as well as to help our clinicians determine the level of

support to provide.

The Spaulding Hospital Cambridge Oncology

Rehabilitation Program

Directed by Medical Director Carolyn krasner, MD, of the Hematology

Oncology Associates of Massachusetts General Hospital, the Oncology

Program at our Cambridge location uniquely incorporates primary

medical and specialty care and rehabilitation services. We provide

a full spectrum of on-site services, including chemotherapy, blood

product replacement, infusion therapy, pain management, treatment

of radiation-related symptoms, nutrition and wound management.

Cancer affects each patient

differently. That’s why we

provide truly customized care.

Working together with you and

your family, our expert clinicians

determine the right kind and level

of assistance based on your unique

needs, goals and circumstances.

your team may include physicians

who specialize in oncology, an

oncology resource nurse, oncology-

trained nursing staff, a pharmacist,

a nutritionist, a case manager, a

physical therapist, an occupational

therapist, a speech/language
