CuttingNote: For a scrappy look, cut all the print squares diago-nally in half once in any direction. If a uniform print direc-tion is desired, cut (12–14) squares per print, then, with print oriented upright, cut half of the squares diagonally from upper left to lower right and the other half diagonal-ly from upper right to lower left.
WOF=Width of Fabric
Fabric A, cut:(14) 57⁄8” x WOF (14.92cm x WOF); sub-cut(96) 57⁄8” x 57⁄8” (14.92cm x 14.92cm); cut once diagonally (8) 3” x WOF (7.62cm x WOF), for border
Fabric B, cut:(2) 57⁄8” x WOF (14.92cm x WOF); sub-cut (9) 57⁄8” x 57⁄8” (14.92cm x 14.92cm); cut once diagonally
Fabrics C, D, E, F, G, H, I, J, K, and L, cut:(2) 57⁄8” x WOF (14.92cm x WOF); sub-cut (8) 57⁄8” x 57⁄8” (14.92cm x 14.92cm); cut once diagonally
Fabric K, also cut:(8) 21⁄4” x WOF (5.72cm x WOF) strips, for binding
Fabric M, cut:(1) 57⁄8” x WOF (14.92cm x WOF); sub-cut (7) 57⁄8” x 57⁄8” (14.92cm x 14.92cm);c ut once diagonally
Backing Fabric, cut:(2) 93” x WOF (236cm x WOF)
SewingNote: Use a 1⁄4” (.64cm) seam allowance throughout. Sew all pieces with right sides together and raw edges even using matching thread.
Block Assembly
Note: If orienting all prints upright, refer to the quilt image for directional piecing guidance and the number of blocks to make in each orientation. There will be extra triangles.
1. Sew a 57⁄8” (14.92cm) white triangle to each 57⁄8” (14.92cm) Fabric B print triangle along the diagonal edge. Square up the block to measure 51⁄2” x 51⁄2” (13.97cm x 13.97cm). Make (1) 18 A/B blocks total (Fig. 1).

Quilt Center Assembly
Note: Follow the Quilt Layout to assemble the blocks and borders.
4. Sections 1 and 3 (upper and lower left). Noting placement and orientation, lay out (56) blocks in (8) rows of (7) blocks each for Section 1 (Fig. 4) Sew the blocks together in each row, then sew the rows together, matching adjacent seams. (Fig. 5) Section 1 measures 351⁄2” x 401⁄2” (90.17cm x 102.87cm). Repeat to make Section 3. (Fig. 6)

5. Sections 2 and 4 (upper and lower right). Again noting placement and orientation, lay out (40) blocks in (8) rows of (5) blocks each for Section 2. Sew the blocks together in each row, then sew the rows together matching adjacent seams (Fig. 7). Section 2 measures 251⁄2” x 401⁄2” (64.77cm x 102.87cm). Repeat to make Section 4 (Fig. 8).

6. Noting orientation of the sections, sew Sections 1 and 2 together to complete the top half of the quilt center (Fig. 9). Sew Sections 3 and 4 together to complete the bottom half of the quilt center (Fig. 10).

7. Noting orientation of the sections, sew the top and bottom halves together to complete the 601⁄2” x 801⁄2” (153.67cm x 204.47cm) quilt center.
Finishing8. Sew (2) 3” x WOF (7.62cm x WOF) Fabric A strips
together end to end using a diagonal seam to make (1) long strip. Repeat to make a total of (4) pairs. Trim (2) strips to measure 801⁄2” (204.47cm) long and sew (1) to each side of the quilt center. Trim the remaining (2) pieced strips to measure 651⁄2” (166.37cm) long and sew (1) to the top and the other to the bottom of the quilt center. The quilt top measures 651⁄2” x 851⁄2” (166.37cm x 217.17cm).
9. Sew the Backing Fabric pieces together and trim to 73” x 93” (185.42cm x 236.22cm).
10. Layer the backing right side down, batting, and quilt top right side up. Baste the layers together and quilt as desired. Trim the backing and batting even with the quilt top.
11. Piece the 21⁄4” x WOF (5.72cm x WOF) Fabric K strips end to end using diagonal seams to make one continuous binding strip. Press seams open. Fold the binding in half with wrong sides together and press.
12. Leaving an 8” (20.32cm) tail, sew the binding to the top of the quilt through all layers with raw edges matching. Miter corners. Stop approximately 12” (30.48cm) from the starting point. Lay both loose ends of binding flat along the quilt edge. Where the loose ends meet, fold pieces back on themselves and press to form a crease. Using this crease as the stitching line, sew the two open ends of the binding right sides together. Trim seam to 1⁄4” (.64cm) and press open. Finish sewing binding to quilt top.
13. Turn binding to back of quilt and hand-stitch in place.
