MDM’s MDS is a telephone controlled on-demand television system designed specifically for your healthcare facility. Low-cost hardware and software components are easily and cost effectively attached to the existing coaxial and telephone system providing video on-demand, questionnaires, surveys, and a wide range of patient education applications.

Using MDM’s MDS RF and telephone communica-tion technology, video content can be delivered to all televisions and computers on your hospital network. Television viewers can use their hospital telephone to access the local video server that will send digital content directly to the patients’ bedside, the nurses’ station or staff training rooms.

Media Delivery System – Preferred Configuration» Patients and staff dial a 2- or 3-digit code to access the system. The system distinguishes between patients and staff, welcomes the caller and provides the available options.

» The patient/staff enters the code for video selected and the assigned television channel is identified.

» The patient/staff tunes the TV to the assigned channel for immediate viewing.

» System uses existing hospital cable infrastructure and televisions. System does not require a PC or other intelligent equipment in the patient room.

» System has the option for one or more scheduled-play channels for general health, nutrition and wellness video provided by the hospital.
