T his booklet lists the 2015 concerts for Christmas on Temple Square. This year’s concerts include

performances in the Tabernacle, the Assembly Hall, the North Visitors’ Center, the Church History Museum, the Conference Center, the lobby of the Joseph Smith Memorial Building, and the lobby of the Church Office Building. In addition to these concerts, you can enjoy Tabernacle Choir broadcasts, organ recitals, guided tours, Christmas films, and a musical drama about Jesus Christ. Unless specified otherwise, all events listed in this booklet are free. For more information call 1-801-240-3323.

Tabernacle Choir BroadcastsThe Mormon Tabernacle Choir broadcasts Music and the Spoken Word at 9:30 a.m. each Sunday in the Conference Center during the Christmas season. Guests are welcome and should be seated by 9:15 a.m. The public may also attend Tabernacle Choir rehearsals every Thursday at 7:30 p.m. in the Conference Center.

Organ RecitalsThirty-minute organ recitals are given in the Tabernacle on weekdays and Saturdays at 12:00 noon and on Sundays at 2:00 p.m.

Guided ToursComplimentary guided tours of Temple Square’s buildings and grounds, as well as an explanation of basic Church beliefs, are available throughout the day and evening in many languages. The North and South Visitors’ Centers are open from 9:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. every day.

Savior of the WorldSavior of the World, a musical drama based on scriptural accounts of the birth and Resurrection of Jesus Christ, is presented at the Conference Center Theater (located in the northwest corner of the Conference Center). The musical runs from November 20 through January 2, Tuesdays through Saturdays at 7:30 p.m., with Saturday matinees at 2:00 p.m. The reserved ticket price is $8 for evening performances and $5 for matinees. For ticket information call 1-801-570-0080, or visit lds.org/events.

FilmsSeveral holiday films are shown in the North Visitors’ Center during the Christmas season, along with the film Joseph Smith: The Prophet of the Restoration. In the Joseph Smith Memorial Building, you can view Meet the Mormons, a film that examines the diverse lives of six devout members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

Church History MuseumThe newly renovated Church History Museum is open weekdays from 9:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. and Saturdays from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. A new exhibit, The Heavens Are Opened, focuses on how the hand of God guided the Restoration of the Church through Joseph Smith and the pioneers.

M ore than any other season of the year, Christmas inspires glorious music. Something inside each of us resonates to the promise of joy and peace embodied in the babe of Bethlehem, the infant Savior born to be our King.

Words alone cannot adequately express our wonder, awe, and gratitude. Hearts too full for speech find their truest expression in the carols, hymns, and joyous songs of Christmas.

Whether you have come to Temple Square this Christmas to perform or to listen—or both—may the music you hear and the sights you see in this historic setting bring you closer to our Savior Jesus Christ, “Him whose birth the angels sing.”1
