November 26th All members and friends of NHCC will want to participate in the Annual Con-gregational Meeting slated for November 26th at the conclusion of the wor-ship service. At this meeting we will hear the report of the nomination com-mittee and ratification of Church Officers, Elders, and Diaconate members. The Finance committee will present the proposed budget for the 2018 program year. The General Board has ratified the budget and endorsed sending the budget to the Congregation for approval. We are greatly blessed as a Church and as the people of God. There are many ways in which we can choose to serve. As we enter our second year of exploring our structural changes, your leadership urges each one of our members to consider participating on one of the five teams that will guide our program ministries. The teams are, Nurture, Connect, Serve, Stewardship-Administration and Maintenance. Let us all give prayerful thought to our sharing of our time, talent, and treasure to build the Kingdom of God and bless the name of Jesus Christ.
The Staff of New Hope Christian Church would like to extend our best wishes for your family during this season of thankfulness. God has blessed us all abundantly and wonderfully. Praise God from whom all blessings flow….
Advent is a time of preparation. As
part of our celebration of this holy
season we will be adorning our
sanctuary with special decorations.
The Nurture Team is offering the
opportunity to members and friends
to purchase poinsettia’s to enhance
our holy space. The cost of the
poinsettias are $15 each and they
may be designated in memory of
someone or to honor that special in-
dividual. Forms will be available to
assist in placing your order.

For and About
New Hope Kids
New Hope’s Children and Youth are hard at work pre-paring the Annual Christmas Program. Anthony describes it as “A Christmas Carol” meets “It’s a Wonderful Life”. Be sure and mark your calendars now for Sunday, De-cember 10th when they will present their pro-gram...and celebrate a birthday party for Jesus. A reminder for parents/grandparents, it is imperative that the children be here every Sunday. Practices are during Children’s Church time and since we have so few practices it is extremely important that the chil-dren be here every time if we are going to have a suc-cessful program.

By now you should have received a letter from the
Stewardship Committee, regarding the budget for
the coming year. If New Hope is to continue to
nurture, connect and serve then our members and
friends will need to underwrite that budget.
Enclosed with the letter was an Estimate of Giving
Card. The information on these cards is held in
strict confidence and your estimate can be adjusted
at any time by notifying the Financial Secretary.
These estimates are very important as they help the
Stewardship Committee plan for the coming year.
A box has been placed in the Narthex to collect the
cards or you can put it in the offering plate on Sun-
day morning (or just hand it to Priscilla Mann who
is the Financial Secretary) or if you prefer you can
mail it to the church.
