This   is   the   year   for   our   semi   annual  yard   sale.     Good   Ole   Days   in  Littlestown   is   scheduled   for   August  16,17.     Our   yard   sale   in   2011   netted  500.00.     We   donated   200.00   to   the  Littlestown  Library.The   site   we   used   last   time   is   not  available   to   us.     We   need   to   find   a  place   in   Littlestown   that   can   host   our  sale   on   August   16.     If   you   have   any  ideas,  please  let  me  know.In   the   meantime,   we   can   start  stockpiling  goodies   to  sell.    Now  is   the  perfect   time   to   clean   those   attics   and  basements  and  rid  yourselves  of   items  that  someone  else  might  love  to  have.

The Keystonian is now available online. You can still receive your copy in the traditional manner, or you can view it online and save paper and mailing expenses. The other advantage is that you will never misplace your copy!

ALPHA ALPHA STATE CONVENTION Friday, June 14 –Sunday, June 16, 2013 The Nittany Lion Inn, State College, PA

We   hope   that   many   Omega   sisters   will   be   able   to   attend  the  conference  this  year.    As   always   Friday   night   festivities   will   include   lots   of  laughs.     This   year   Omega   will   be   part   of   the   fun   as   we  present  our  commercial.    Plans  are  still   in   the  works  so  be  sure   to   let   Pam   Gall   know   if   you   will   be   there   on   Friday  night  to   lend  support.

As   a   birthday   chapter   we   will   also   celebrate   at   the  luncheon  on  Saturday.

REGIONAL  Reservations  and  registration   information   for   the  Portland,  Maine,  northeast  regional   is  now   on   the   International   website.   Also   on   the   International   website   is   a   survey  regarding   Regionals.   I   want   to   encourage   all   members   to   fill   out   this   quick   survey  and   give   your   opinion   and   ideas.   If   you   have   gone   to   many   regionals,   or   if   you   have  just   experienced   the   one   held   in   2011   In   Hershey,   or   if   you   have   never   been   to   a  regional,   International   wants   your   input   as   they   look   at   possibly   redesigning   how  regionals  take  place.  Be  part  of   the  discussion,   take  the  survey,  and  share  your   ideas.  ALBUM  OF  DISTINCTION  AND  ACHIEVEMENT  AWARD  Please   watch   deadlines   for   the   Album   of   Distinction   and   State   Achievement   Award.  Both   forms   for   the   recognition   and   award   are   found   on   the   State   website,  www.alphaalphapa.com  The  deadline  for  the  Album  of  Distinction  is  April  1STATE  CONVENTION  2013  The  Keystonian   spring   edition   is   out   and   on   the  website   and   has   the   registration   form  and  hotel   form   for   convention.   Please   consider  donating   a   chapter  basket   for   the   raffle  during  the  weekend.  This   is  always  a   fun  way  to  see  the   ingenuity  of  March,  2013  chapters   and   is   especially   fun   if   you   walk   away   from   the   weekend   with   one   of   the  baskets  you’ve  won!  At   the   convention   Celebration   Luncheon   on   Saturday   we   will   honor   our   member  authors.  We  have   authors  who  have  written  historical   fiction,   non-­‐-­‐fiction,   professional  books   and   textbooks   and   are   anxious   to   show   and   discuss   their   work  with   you.   Some  will   also   be   selling   and   signing   their   books.   Please   support   our   talented   sisters   who  found  the  time  and  passion  to   follow  their  dreams  and  author  books.  

                   The  convention  gift  basket   for   the  basket  raffle   is  a  very   important      undertaking   for   each   chapter.     Please   consider   possible   themes   for   our  basket  this  year.    We  will  make  a  decision  at  our  April  meeting.

We will travel back in time to the first meeting place on the original date 65 years later to reflect on changes in education with members sharing past memories, as well as a look into the future of education.

This would be a wonderful meeting for prospective members or a past member who might like to get reacquainted with Omega Chapter again.
