• Athens already hosted the Olympic Games because Mount Olympus was in Athens.

• Athens was a beautiful and busy and rich because they had natural resources like silver, lead, and marble.

• The Ancient Olympic Games started in 776 bc.

• The prize for being in the Olympic Games was a Gold Olive Wreath

Olympic Events

• Some Ancient Olympic Events were races, wrestling, boxing, chariot racing, horse races, Pentathlon and Pankration.

Olympiad

• The games happened every 4 years, this time period was known as the Olympiad.

The End

• The Ancient Olympic Games ended in 391 ad. Emperer Theodosius was the one that ended the games.
