• To reduce the risk of further traumatic experiences• To avoid an increase in adolescent pregnancies• To address the problems of abuse and neglect of

children• To reduce rate of addiction problems, gambling,

cyber crime children engage in• To avoid substance poisoning,, drug abuse and

alcohol intake• To avoid a generation of mentally disturbed

individuals

Settings where children are:• At homes with families• On the streets• In institutions; orphanages, juvenile centres• In camps and settlements; Internally Displaced

Persons (IDP) camps, Almajiri camps, beggars settlement

Effects of quarantine measures (school closure & restrictions) on children

• Reduced attention and Neglect: Due to school closures, many parents may leave their children and ward's education needs unmet and unattended to.• Underage domestic workers will become overused

and overworked• There will be an increase in Child Abuse and

Domestic Violence; due to parents' routine disruptions and reduced social support,

• Exposure to toxic disinfectant, alcohol and oral use of hand sanitizers can lead to poisoining and death
