"The simself enters the room and looks around, her eyes scaling the high walls of the prison she is to call her home until she completes the task she's been given,"

"What's with the really crappy narrating?" Faye asked as she looked around the room,"and this isn't a prison, it's my basement. The padded walls are for effect,"

"What are you doing up there, anyway? You know what happened to Bella Goth. Onewrong push of a button and she ends up in Strangetown. Pity, she makes pretty kidletswith Morty"

"You do realize that if you don't cool those jets, literally, they're going to set fire to theceiling. Also literally." Faye said, slightly more amused by the pair than she wanted to be,"and what task would that be?"

The woman with the pink hair glared pointedly at Faye and the orange haired womancovered her face, embarrassed as she hit the button on a keychain hooked to her belt. The fire ceased, and the pink haired woman continued.

"If you must know, and you must by the way," the pink-haired woman said, as she shookher head disdainfully, "the task is what any other task would be if two mysteriousstrangers appeared in the basement of a woman who could begin one of the most

important parts of Sim culture,"

"Do you realize what it's like to be a legacy writer who can't finish legacies to save her life?" Faye asked, "it sucks. Badly. I'd much prefer to read other people's legacies, readKate Beaton comics, then sit back on my heels and work on editing my actual novel.

Legacy writing is horrible when you can't do it,"

"We are well aware of this,” said the pink haired woman, “unfortunately for you, there isno other choice,”

The orange-haired woman waved her fingers and muttered under her breath, the air crackling as the spell grew more powerful.

"Bring it," said Faye as the air grew electric around her, the effects of the orange-hairedwoman's spell, "I'm not called the Creator for nothing,"

The crackling energy of the room wove it's way through Faye's veins and she shivered, clenching her fists as the power soared through her.

She breathed in and out quickly as she clenched her fists, storing the energy inside her, forcing it into herself, her brain and heart gorging themselves on the electricity. Her vision swam before her, she heard a buzzing in her head and she fought back a scream.

She leaned forward, clutching her stomach and forcing back the scream that threatenedto erupt from her lips. Then, without a sound, she toppled to the ground.

She lay in a heap on the floor, motionless except for the shallowness of her breathing. Her sight was still blurry, and she felt her glasses slipping slowly from the bridge of her nose.

"Is she...?" asked the pink haired woman, and her companion merely shook her head."Merely unable to move," the orange haired woman replied, " the spell lasts two da-"

She was cut short by Faye's return to mobility as she carefully pushed herself from thewood floor of the basement, pushing her glasses back into position as she raised herself from the floor.

"Ow, ow, ow," she said, blinking several times as she knelt on the floor, "okay, I'll admitthat was strong. Ow, ow, ow,"

She kept muttering the word in sequence as she rubbed her arms, and raised herself toher feet.

Page 18: Olthylwell: Prologue

She exhaled in a sharp breath as she looked around.

"Well, that was exciting," she looked up to the very shocked women, "what? Surprised

I'm not still on the floor? Sorry, the whole creator thing: not like the Goa'uld from SG-1.I'm pure creator, through and through,"

Page 19: Olthylwell: Prologue

"Okay," she said, standing up, "now that we're done with that: what to do with you two?”

The orange haired woman bent to whisper into her companion's ear."I think we're in for some unforseen circumstances," she said. To Faye, she said, "proveit. Prove you're the creator's simself,”

Page 21: Olthylwell: Prologue

Faye bent forward and with two fluid movements, she cannonballed into the floor directlyin front of her.

Page 22: Olthylwell: Prologue

Instead of injuring herself however, she landed softly amongst a shower of leaves thatappeared, and laughed as they spun around her, disappearing as they hit the floor. In afew minutes, there was no longer any leaves, simply the laughing sim.

Then, as the two women watched in dismay, she levitated into the air and flipped, grinning at the looks in their faces.

"And I know your names," she said, "Gretchen and Fable,"

Page 24: Olthylwell: Prologue

The two women had had enough."MY NAME," screeched the pink-haired woman, "is NOT Gretchen! Not anymore!""And what kind of a name is Fable, anyway?" the orange haired woman asked, nervous

at the thought of speaking to a sim with such immense power, "I mean really?"“An awesome one?” Faye volunteered.

“And it is," said Faye as she rose into the air, surrounded by sparkling shimmers of light,"now, you have questions, ones I'd rather not answer. So, I'll be going!"

Page 26: Olthylwell: Prologue

"Where?" asked the two women as the light nearly solidified, almost piercing Faye's skin.

"Well, far away from you anyway," said Faye, "oh I know, I'll take you up on your offer. I'moff to write a legacy!"

And with an eruption of light, she was gone.

Shortly after she disappeared, Gretchen grinned, turning to Fable.

“Your spell worked,” she said, and then her grin disappeared, “but she wasn't supposedto go somewhere we couldn't find her!”“I am not in control of her mind, I can only plant a thought in it,” said Fable, “I could notmake her kill someone, or jump off a building, she would have rejected the idea.

Gretchen huffed, crossing her arms, “well then, get out your crystal ball and FIND HER,”

In a somewhat related incident in a completely different neighborhood, Elyena Olthylwellstares through her binoculars and smiles at the sight of a bird flying high above. She hasno idea of the destiny in store for her, nor does she care. All that goes through her mindat this moment is a word she has heard many times before, yet somehow has so muchmeaning behind it.
