At Olivet we teach that Jesus instituted Holy Baptism,

that God truly acts in this sacrament, and that faith is

essential for its effectiveness. Olivet will be holding its

next baptism celebration service for infants and chil-

dren on Saturday, April 25. This worship service will

focus entirely on baptism from beginning to end. We

will begin with a required class from 9:30-10 a.m. and

follow with the baptism service from 10:15-11:15 a.m.

Pre-registration is required. Please contact the church

office if you are interested or would like more infor-

mation.

This marriage class, facilitated by Pastor Luanne, is offered

on 7 consecutive Monday evenings from 7:00 – 8:00 p.m.

It started on April 6 and will wrap up on May 18. Whether

you’re planning to get married or would like to enrich your

marriage, this is a great way to better understand that spe-

cial person in your life. Please pre-register by calling the

church office personnel at 783-1484.

SAVE YOUR MARRIAGE

BEFORE IT STARTS

We will once again be hosting our bi-annual “Mission

Partner (New Member) Gathering”. Join in what the

Lord is doing at Olivet and explore your personal gifts

and strengths to partner in ministry. Pastor Dave and

Pastor Luanne teach on Olivet’s mission, vision and

core values, as well as serving and learning opportuni-

ties available for spiritual growth. If you’d like to at-

tend, contact the church office or note it on the back of

your Connections Card. The class is offered bi-annually

in the fall and in the spring.

CONGREGATIONAL MEETING On the weekend of April 18-19 a brief infor-

mational meeting will be held immediately

following each worship service. There will

be discussion of Olivet’s Master Plan and a

vote will be taken to approve one part of that

plan—the establishment of a columbarium at

Olivet. This vote, if approved for the columbarium,

would also allow the Leadership Team to move for-

ward to develop rules and guidelines for the columbari-

um. Join us for one of these important meetings.

...a note from our pastors Thank you all for an amazing Lent, Holy Week and

Easter! Wow! The amount of service hours from our

volunteers was miraculous! The soup, sandwiches and

desserts you prepared over the season of Lent and the

way you served others was truly an act of love. Because

you cared enough to invite others to hear the Good News

that Jesus is risen we had record attendance at our Easter

services, which was up over 36% from five years ago

and over 96% from ten years ago. Thank you for all that

you do!! GO TEAM!
