Olga Sánchez Cordero

Mexico’s first female Secretary of the Interior. She was the firstwoman to become Mexico City’s—then Federal District—notary public through an examination. Sánchez holds abachelor’s degree in law from the National AutonomousUniversity of Mexico (UNAM), and has postgraduate studies insocial policy and administration at the University College ofSwansea in the United Kingdom. She was elected as a memberof Mexico City’s Constituent Assembly in 2016. Sánchez servedas Justice of the National Supreme Court of Justice (1995 –2015), and of Mexico City’s—then Federal District—SupremeCourt of Justice (1993 – 1995). She is the author of variouspublications, and, since 1975, she has lectured numerous lawcourses at several universities in Mexico.
