Discipline at Camp

Disciplinary issues will be dealt with by the

following procedure:

1. Scout will be referred to Director for consultation

2. Director will place call to parents after the second

consultation.

3. Director will call parents to pick up child after the

third consultation. The child will not be allowed

back to camp for the rest of the week.

OLD NORTH STATE COUNCIL REFUND POLICY

Please be advised refunds on council, district, or OA events and activities will be made only if an adult calls 10 days before the event to the Council Office to cancel that registration. The only exception to the policy will be

the case of illness, accident and/or death in the family and that cancellation must be called in the day before the event. Refunds cannot

be transferred to future events or functions. Please note, a 5% fee will be charged on all refunds granted to cover cost of processing.

Bug Hunters Uwharrie Cub Scout Twilight Camp

WHAT: Cub Scout Summer Twilight Camp. BB, Sling Shots, and Archery

Ranges, Crafts, Games, fishing, and much, much more!

WHEN: June 20—22, 2017. Check-in begins at 5:30 pm and camp starts with a

flag ceremony. Camp closes each day at 8:30 pm. Staff is not available before

5:15 pm so please do not arrive before that time. All participants must check in

at registration table each day. All Scouts must be picked up no later than 8:45 pm.

WHERE: Hagan Sea Base, 781 Scout Road Lexington, NC 27292

COST: Registration fee is $40 for this event. Registration open between May 6 to June 9. No

registration is accepted after June 9. Registration fee includes all crafts, materials, t-shirt, patch,

camp facilities, and daily snack. Financial assistance is available for those in need. Contact the

Twilight Camp Director for information.

WHO: All Cub Scouts age boys from 1st Grade to 5th Grade (Grade as of August 2017). Not a

LEADERS AND PARENT GUIDES: Each pack sending Cubs to camp MUST send two-

deep leadership for their pack and have at least 1 adult per 5 Cub Scouts; Tiger Cubs must have

an adult for each Tiger Cub every day of camp. ALL adults and parents must complete the

Youth Protection Training module online at www.my.scouting.org. Leaders and Parent Guides

understand that they will be outside and walking in the heat, humidity, and other weather

conditions that *may* be physically demanding. Please consider this when deciding to attend

Uwharrie Cub Scout Twilight Camp.

HEALTH FORMS: A current BSA Annual Health and Medical Form Parts A & B is required

with registration. The 2017 Health Form is found online at

http://www.scouting.org/filestore/HealthSafety/pdf/680-001_AB.pdf. This is the ONLY version

of the Health and Medical Form that will be accepted. These forms must be submitted with your

registration. Anyone without a current Health Form will not be allowed to remain in camp.

YOUTH PROTECTION TRAINING:

ALL adults and parents attending camp for at

least one day must have completed the Youth

Protection training module online within the

last two years (i.e., certificate does not expire

before June 23, 2017) before attending camp

with Cub Scouts. To complete or renew the

Youth Protection training module, go to

www.my.scouting.org. Please help us protect

our Scouts.

ACTIVITIES: Each participant will enjoy

theme-related games, crafts, nature lessons all

based on the new Cub Scout program. Each

night will consist of fun, learning activities that

will allow participants to the opportunity to earn

badges they can only earn at camp. Participation

in our twilight camp will also allow your Scouts

to earn requirement 1 of the Outdoor Activity

award.

Scouts will also have an opportunity to fish from

the shores during break time, but they must bring

their own poles & tackle. Worms will be

provided.
