The Oklahoma Board of Nursing held its third regular meeting of FY 2013 on November 6 & 7, 2012. Glazier discussed the launch of the National Council of State Boards of Nursing (NCSBN) National Nursing Database (NND) (attachment #6) with data derived from Nursys®. The agency does not submit licensure data to Nursys®. Ms. Glazier updated the Board on progress with the NPDB-HIPDB Data Integrity Project regarding the ongoing efforts for ensuring accuracy of information and case updates. The Board was advised of the expiration of the agency’s membership with the Federation of Associations of Regulatory Boards due to a change in categorization and terms of membership. K. Glazier discussed the agency’s involvement with the National Council of State Boards of Nursing Commitment to Ongoing Regulatory Excellence with regard to our performance/quality indicators as compared to other Boards. The agency has been invited to participate in a focus group to identify Best Practices for the discipline process.
