Printing Functions
Note:
The MFP’s operator panel menus provide access to many options. The windows printer drivers also contain settings for many of the same items. Where items in the print driver are the same, the settings in the driver will override the operator panel menu items.
Return to Contents Page
Printer drivers are supplied with the MFP: one for PCL, and one for PostScript. If printing is mainly from general “Office” applications choose the PCL driver. For faster printing of PDF documents, PostScript is a better choice.

When you choose to print a document from a windows application a print dialog box appears. This dialog specifies the name of the machine you will print to. Next to the printer name is the Properties button.
When you click Properties a new window opens which contains a short list of the printer settings available in the driver, which you can choose for the document.
The window that opens when you click Properties depends on which printer driver has been installed. The PostScript driver offers different choices to the PCL driver.
