Adding a new Outlook account to a Mac

Mac Mail will populate email in user’s inbox

What to expect - Email on Mobile Devices (Phones/Tablets) If you access email on your mobile device or tablet, you may be prompted to input your current password. In some cases, your mobile device or tablet may recognize the server change automatically and you will not need to take further action.
• Your mobile device may prompt you for your password because the Server information has changed. The following information will be needed to reconfigure your device:
o Name: [email protected]
o Password: (your current password) o
Server: outlook.office365.com • If you use the OWA app on your mobile device, that app will no longer
function after your email is moved. Please delete the app and download the Outlook app instead.

• Go to “Settings” • Click “Manage Accounts” • Click on the “+” in the top right corner • Add your Valencia College email o Select Microsoft Exchange ActiveSync
• Enter the following Update Exchange settings (as needed) o Domain / Username: [email protected] o Enter “Password”
Click “Manual Setup” (if applicable / possible) o Exchange Server: outlook.office365.com o Check the “Secure Connection (SSL)” box o Click “Next” or “Done” • Your Android is updated to Outlook O365

• Select “Passwords & Accounts” To setup your O365 Outlook email, select “Add account”
• Select “Exchange” • Enter the following for your exchange settings

o Select “Configure Manually” o Enter your password, click “Next”
o Update Exchange settings (as needed)
o Server: outlook.office365.com o Domain: leave blank o Add Username: [email protected] o Enter your password
· Press the home · Click on “Settings”

iPhone Outlook App Configuration
• Open “Outlook” app • Click on the “Hamburger” found on the upper left of the Inbox screen
• Open the “settings” by clicking on the gear located at the bottom left of the screen.
• One of two screens will appear, select “Add Account” or enter [email protected] and “Add Account”
• Users will be redirected to one of the Valencia College ADFS Portal to Sign-in pages to enter their password and “Login” or “Sign in”
• Users will have the option to add another Account. Choose “Maybe Later” and scroll through the updates (as needed)

• Go back to “Settings” using the “Hamburger” and “Gear” • Important step: Turn off the “Focused Inbox” setting. Otherwise, users will
not see all of their email.
Note: the OWA app will no longer function with the Outlook O365 upgrade. Please delete this app and download the Outlook app.
• Add O365 Storage Account by selecting “Add Account” & “Add Storage
