Reliable rotary screw air endThe compressor unit is designed and built bySullair, a manufacturer that has specialized inrotary screw technology since 1965. Sullairhas the widest range of screw compressors inthe market and has been delivering oil-freemachines since 1981.The rotor assembly is the heart of anyscrew compressor. For its screw compressors,Sullair has designed extremely heavy-dutyrotors. Using bearings with an L10 life ofover 100,000 hours, the Sullair DScompressor is one of the few oil-free designsrugged enough for a full voltage motor start.

Rotors and rotor housings are precisioncoated to inhibit corrosion and prohibitcontamination.The coating is approved by theU.S. Food and Drug Administration as afood-grade PTFE, to ensure contaminant-freeconditions.Vibration monitoring for predictivemaintenance. Precision ground accelerom-eter connections allow customers to monitorair end bearing condition and predictcompressor maintenance needs.Proven reliability. The fact that more than150,000 Sullair compressors are at work inthe world today is solid proof of theirdependability.

Separate, easy-to-adjust valves

The Sullair oil-freecompressor hasseparate inletand blow downvalves ofsimple, ruggeddesign for easyadjustment and

maintenance. These individual valves, unlikesome integral designs, do not use criticalpressure balancing holes that could clog andmalfunction. In the unlikely event of valvedamage, replacement is easy and inexpensive,since these valves are separate assemblies. Noexpensive repair kits are required.

Choice of air-cooled or water-cooled models

The Sullair oil-free compressor is availablewith either air-cooling or water-cooling. Theair-cooled model uses high efficiencymodular fin and tube aluminum heatexchangers. If damaged, each section can be

replaced individually to reduce maintenancecosts. The water-cooled model uses non-proprietary, readily available shell and tubeheat exchangers, which are interchangeable

on the first and second stage for reducedparts requirements. These coolers may bereplaced at a fraction of the cost ofcompetitor’s coolers. Stainless steel coolertubes are standard for greater life.
