Dr. Seuss uses a very unique rhyme scheme.The book contains thirty stanzas in which: 18 of the lines begin with AB They are mostly set up in quatrains The rhyme schemes that are most common are: ABCB (used 9 times) AABB (used 3 times) AA (used 3 times)

Dr. Seuss uses many forms of poetic elements in his book, some of which include: Alliteration: Boom Bands, With the whole world watching you win on T.V., Buxbaum or Bixby or Bray, prickle-ly perkish Personification: Your mountain is waiting Tone: the tone isnt consistent and switches from positive to negative throughout the book.

About life when youre on your own Talks about the ups and downs of life Seuss refers to the main character as you meaning that the book relates to the reader Gives the readers inspiration by telling them they will be the best of the best in whatever they choose to do and although there are obstacles in life, the book explains that the reader is smart enough to surpass all the obstacles and choose the right path through life.
