Seller Insight “We came across Offord Cluny Manor House twenty-one years ago during our search for a large family

home in a village setting,” says the owner, “and although it was in a rather tired state and in need of renovation, it offered us the space, both inside and out, that we had been looking for in a location that was absolutely ideal.”

Offord Cluny Manor is an extremely elegant family home that is immaculately presented throughout. “I would say that over time we have managed to return the house to its former glory,” continues the owner. “All of the work that has been carried out has been done in an extremely sympathetic manner and the house retains a great many period features. We have open fireplaces in a number of rooms, large sash windows with their original shutters and some gorgeous wood panelling. Of particular note is the main staircase that features beautifully turned balusters. It’s one of the first things you see as you enter the house and it’s just stunning.”

This exceptional home boasts grounds that extend to around fifteen acres in total. “Beyond the house we have a lovely big formal garden and a swimming pool that we’ve all enjoyed using over the years. The grounds then become open parkland, and we also have a small pony paddock. During the summer, when the grass is long, I like to mow a path all the way around so that I can walk the dogs without having to leave the property. The whole space is just so beautiful, and it’s also totally secluded and very peaceful.”*

“For us the location of the house has been absolutely perfect,” says the owner. “We are close to the centre of this lovely village and almost equidistant from St Neots and Huntingdon, but the open parkland gives the

feeling of being totally away from it all, in the heart of the countryside.”
