SPORTS INFORMATION

The Sports Information Office will coordinate the compiling and distribution of results of all varsity

intercollegiate athletic events hosted by the Charlotte 49ers. A representative from the Sports

Information Office will either be on hand at the event or will gather results from the head coach and

distribute those results to all pertinent parties.

The Sports Information Office will be in contact with the Sports Information Office of the participating

institutions to discuss the best route to distribute results. All results will be posted on Fax-On-Demand

and participating schools will be informed of the proper means to collect those results. If this is not a

convenient method, other options are available. The Sports Information Office of each participating

school is encouraged to contact our Sports Information Department to discuss special requests.

Should any media be accompanying the participating schools, all credential requests should be

forwarded to our Sports Information Office. Should media from participating schools not in attendance

have special requests (game stories, quotes, play-by-play) those requests should be discussed with our

Sports Information representative, prior to game day.

The Sports Information Office will coordinate all requests for radio and/or television broadcasts by

visiting media. Phone lines can be made available on a reciprocal arrangement, according to Atlantic

10 policy, although the Charlotte 49ers reserve the right to charge for phone access service.

The Sports Information Office will do its best to meet the statistical and media needs of each

participating institution. Should special requests arise, please contact the Sports Information Office.

Physician coverage is provided for men’s and women’s basketball games and men’s and

women’ soccer matches. For all other sports, a physician is on call. Visits to the hospital or

doctor appointments may be arranged by our athletic training staff at 704-687-6305.

You will be provided with ice, water, cups, biohazard supplies, crutches and other emergency

medical equipment. If you have special treatment needs, or if your team will not be traveling

with a trainer please notify us in advance so that we may adequately staff ourselves to better

care for your team.

TICKET INFORMATION

Admission is charged for the following 49ers sports: men’s and women’s soccer, volleyball,

men’s and women’s basketball, and baseball. Ticket information is available below for player

pass lists and additional tickets for purchase. Tickets purchased at athletic venues must be paid

for in cash. Credit cards and checks are accepted only at the main ticket office located at the

Barnhardt Student Activity Center.

Men's Basketball

The appropriate* player pass list should be submitted to the 49ers Athletic Ticket Office 1.5

hours prior to game time at which time the doors open. Men’s basketball games are played in

Halton Arena located within the Barnhardt Student Activity Center. The player guest entrance is

located directly across from the ticket office on the East end of the arena. Valid photo

identification is required for receipt of tickets.

Individual game tickets may be purchased, if available, from the 49ers Athletic Ticket Office by

calling 704-687-4949 or ordering online at www.Charlotte49ers.com. Individual tickets are

reserved seating and prices range from $12 - $25 with a 25% discount for youth ages 17 &

under. Consignment tickets may be available through advanced arrangement by calling the

Assistant Athletic Director for Ticket Operations at 704-687-4949.

Men’s & Women’s Soccer, Volleyball, Women’s Basketball, and Baseball

The appropriate* player pass list should be submitted to the ticket booth/table at each venue 1

required for receipt of tickets. Men’s & women’s soccer is played at Transamerica Field at the

Belk Track & Field Complex and the ticket booths are located at the front entrance where the

pass list will be administered. Volleyball and women’s basketball are played in Halton Arena

within the Barnhardt Student Activity Center and the player pass list will be administered at the

main ticket office. Baseball is played at Robert & Mariam Hayes Stadium, and the main ticket

gate will be the entrance for all tickets.

Individual tickets may be purchased at each venue’s respective ticket booth/table beginning 1

hour prior to game time. If tickets are needed or desired in advance, call the 49ers Athletic

Ticket Office at 704-687-4949. Tickets are general admission and prices ** are as follows:

DIRECTIONS TO CAMPUS

From north of Charlotte via I-85

I-85 South to Exit 45A. Take exit #45A (East W.T. Harris Boulevard). Turn right onto Harris

Blvd. and go one mile to the exit for UNC Charlotte/Hwy. 49. At stop light, turn left on Hwy 49.

The entrance to UNC Charlotte is one mile on the left (2nd stop light).

From north of Charlotte via I-77

I-77 South to Exit 18. Take exit #18 (W.T. Harris Boulevard). Turn left onto Harris Blvd. and

go seven (7) miles to the exit for UNC Charlotte/Hwy. 49. At stop light, turn left on Hwy 49.


From south of Charlotte via I-85

I-85 North to Exit 45A. Take exit #45A (East W.T. Harris Boulevard). Merge right onto Harris

Blvd. and go one mile to the exit for UNC Charlotte/Hwy. 49. At stop light, turn left on Hwy 49.


From south of Charlotte via I-77

Take I-77 North to I-85 North. From I-85 North, take exit #45A (East W.T. Harris Boulevard).

Merge right on Harris Blvd. and go one mile to the exit for UNC Charlotte/Hwy. 49. At stop

light, turn left on Hwy 49. The entrance to UNC Charlotte is one mile on the left (2nd stop light).

From east of Charlotte via US 74

Take US 74 to W.T. Harris Boulevard. Turn right onto Harris Boulevard, and travel 9 miles to

UNC Charlotte/Hwy. 49 exit. At stop light, turn left on Hwy 49. The entrance to UNC Charlotte

is approximately one mile on the left (1 stop light).

From Concord area via US 29

Take US 29 to W.T. Harris Boulevard. Turn left onto Harris Boulevard, and go one-half ( ) mile

to UNC Charlotte/Hwy. 49 exit. At stop light, turn left on Hwy 49. The entrance to UNC

Charlotte is one mile on the left (2nd stop light).

From Charlotte/Douglas Airport

Leave terminal on Airport Freeway Road, go straight through traffic light. Get in left lane to exit

for Billy Graham Parkway North to I-85. Stay in right lane on Billy Graham Parkway through

two traffic lights. Immediately under second light, turn onto I-85N towards Concord. Go 11.2

miles to Exit #45A (Harris Boulevard East). Go one mile to UNC Charlotte/Hwy. 49 exit. At

stop light, turn left on Hwy 49. The entrance to UNC Charlotte is one mile on the left (2nd stop

light).

PARKING Charlotte 49ers Athletic Event Parking

Parking is Free 1½ hours before the scheduled

start time, until 1½ hours after athletic contest.

In all instances, should any lot fill to capacity,

proceed to the next option which is indicated on

the athletic facilities parking map (shown here at

right).

Additionally, parking directional signs and/or

staff member(s) may be available to direct you to

the next closest parking area.

New parking structures are currently under

construction on campus. Your support and

patience is appreciated & please enjoy your visit

with the Charlotte 49ers!

Opposing Team Bus (All Sports)

The game manager or 49ers event staff for your

particular sport will direct you to your designated

parking area. If you are directed to a parking lot,

please move bus to portion of lot furthest from

the field of play to allow fans as many open

spaces as possible.

Dale F. Halton Arena (Basketball & Volleyball)

Parking is available in the Cone and West Parking Decks per the indications below:

Men's Basketball games - The Cone Deck is ONLY available for vehicles displaying an Athletic

Foundation Permit. Access for other event fans is in the West Deck via the entrance near Brocker

Health Center (entrance that does not face the arena).

Volleyball & Women's Basketball - Parking is available in the West Deck via the entrance near

Brocker Health Center.

Belk Track and Field Center/Transamerica Field (Track & Field and Soccer)

Parking is available in the West Parking Deck via the entrance near Brocker Health Center.

DL Phillips Sports Complex/Tom & Lib Phillips Field (Baseball, Softball and Soccer

Parking is available in Lot #23, which is located directly behind the baseball field, up the hill.

Second option parking is Lot #14 (near the tennis courts), while third option parking is in the

West Deck.

There is *no* parking, standing, or unloading near the entrance to the Wachovia Fieldhouse.

Please keep traffic flowing and proceed to your designated parking lot.
