Put a caption to this photo and a bottle of DIMPLE 15 year old Scotch could be yours!
Dream up a convincing smart title and get it in now to [email protected]
As many entries as you like but only accepted by email!
The President will announce the winner at the general meeting on Wednesday 17th April.
That lucky member MUST be present at the meeting to collect their booze (no if's or but's) or it goes to the
Committee.
This bottle of cephalalgia elixir could be
yours to claim at the next general meeting.
Ideally, kept in the flight box and taken after
those special occasions at the Field, will
instantly restore confidence, bravado and BS
levels to new highs. Highly recommended by
the Field Manager.

Superb Full Size Lunchtime Display at this year’s
Warbirds Over Mundijong
At previous Warbirds over Mundijong, we have been fortunate to have a number of full size aircraft do display flights
over our field.
This year we will have the privilege of seeing a Stampe SV4 flown by Kevin Bailey, a well known supporter of our
Warbirds event.
What makes this so special is that Kevin, as you read this, is ferrying the aircraft from Gouldburn in NSW, after
acquiring it from its previous owner who had the aircraft for 25 years prior to his death last year.
This gentleman, (and I’m told by Kevin that this title is most appropriate), can be seen on YouT ube demonstrating
his considerable skills in his beloved Stampe. His name is Dick Nell. This is followed up by a video made by his
daughter shortly before his death which I am sure will stir emotions.
I think we at KAMS will be the first to witness the Stampe's public debut in WA.
Kevin has asked that we applaud the aircraft and its previous keeper at Warbirds Over Mundijong 2013.

Note from Kevin Bailey re Dick Nell:
Dick was a very special man and a superb aviator who thrilled thousands on the east coast at many, many airshows
in his Stampe. I feel very privileged to now own his aircraft and will always try to pay homage to him thru his aircraft.
Regards
Kevin
!!!! STOP PRESS !!!!
"Concept Hobbies" in Helensvale Queensland have confirmed they will be supporting KAMS
"Warbirds over Mundijong" with at least two ARF kit raffle prizes.
One is a DH-82 and the other will be a warbird to be confirmed. Be there on the day, be in it to win
it and support the suppliers that support KAMS.
It was disappointing to discover that a sizeable hole had been punched through
the steel roof sheeting and the guttering displaced on the new northern pits.
Equally disappointing, the damage appears to have been ignored and not
reported by the person responsible.
The considerable impact force required to open steel sheeting is probably the
result of an out of control aircraft and the damaged gutter from the retrieval of
the model. The nature of this incident also raises the question of safety and pilot
competency.
Please be aware of By-Law 2.5 "Report any unsafe equipment or building defects

Please try and be present for the next meeting

The below was sent in by a fellow member, although the item does not fly it is amazing the detail and
craftsmanship that went into this that I am sure we all wish we could replicate when working on our
models. There is also an interesting link at the end of the clip featuring the P38 Lightning or simply click
on the second link to bypass the amazing desk!!!!
Amazing aint the word for this Desk.....
And to think the guy that made this over two hundred years ago did it with hand
tools alone--with everything working like it did 200 years ago!
