Personal Information I am an avid member of my university Rugby team which I feel has helped me to gain confidence and helped to improve my ability to work in a team. I suffer from Diabetes and so I feel that I should raise money for the charity Diabetes UK in order to improve research into this disease, I also feel that I should stand up as a role model to help those younger than me who suffer from Diabetes. Due to this I completed an 11 day cycle from John O’Groats to Land’s End in order to raise money for Diabetes UK, I raised the sum of £3000 by partaking in this event. This helped me to grow as an individual and I believe is evidence that I am committed and hardworking. I often take part in charitable events and events involving service as I am a firm believer in the idea that through helping others, you are able to grow as a person and become a vital part of the community.
