I've came by this letter, proudly, to invite all the masters, teachers

and athletes to the 1st International Kung Fu Open Festival Championship that

will be realized in 2013, at Cabo Frio, Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. At this place, more

than wonderful, you will enjoy everything that we are preparing for the Kung Fu

celebrities, in other words, all of you. This is going to the a big and marvelous

party. The event will count with the biggest and better masters and athletes

from Brazil and from all over the world, that together will celebrate the party of

the millennial Chinese art, Kung Fu/Wushu that grows each day in Brazil and

abroad. More than a festival, this is going to be a moment to reflect and

strengthen our friendship and martial brotherhood, through the sport by the

peace.

It is a honor and a pleasure extend to your Organization this invitation to

join to our event, that is going to be realized on August, 17 of 2013,

Saturday.

Opening hour: 14:00.

1st International Kung Fu Open Festival Championship, 2013.

This Championship is open to athletes from academies affiliates or not to

LEAGUES, since if invited to the event.

Arrangements for competition: Traditional Taolus with free hand and with

weapons, competitive wushu, internal styles, etc.

Attention to warning: The registration form is individual for each athlete

and should be properly filled and sent ONLINE.

Fees must be paid by deposit.

Programming:

1. August, 16 : Delegations arrive and touristic tours.

2. August, 17: 09:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. - Workshop with courses

14:00 p.m. - 1st International Kung Fu Open Festival

Championship.

3. August, 18: Brazilian Kung Fu Championship.

Championship Fees:

50 BRL to one grade

15 BRL to each additional grade

Claim: If the athlete, technical or leader doesn't agrees with the result of the

arbitration during the competition, it must be notified in writing form, until 15

minutes later the received result.

The notify should be given by the Head of Delegation with the full

shooting of the competition more the payment of 300 BRL, that will be given

back if the clam were accepted and the result changed, otherwise, won't be

returned. The claim must be in according with the specific rules of this event.

Age limit

1. Traditional Taolu with free hands and weapons:

1.1. Junior - until 8 years old.

1.2. Infant - until 11 years old.

1.3. Infant-youth - until 14 years old.

1.4. Youth - 17 years old.

1.5. Adult - 35 years old.

1.5. Senior - more than 35 years old.

Stages: Beginners, intermediate and advanced - Male and Female

2. Taolu of competitive wushu:

2.1 Youth: until 17 years old.

2.2. Adult: until 35 years old.

2.3. Senior: more than 35 years old.

Stage: Advanced only - Male and Female

3. Taolu of internal styles:

3.1. Youth: until 17 years old.




4. Special grade of Wing Chun:

4.1 Infant: until 14 years old.

4.2. Youth: until 17 years old.




Taolu styles: SIU NIN TAO, CHUN KIU, BIU JEE and MUK YAN JONG

Experience Background:

Beginners - 2 years of practice;

Intermediate - Between 2 and 4 years of practice;

Advanced - More than 4 years.

Traditional Taolu with free hands

1. South Taolu style: It is the division of the modality of free hands

that the athletes realizes forms with the traditional characteristics

of south styles.

2. North Taolu Style: It is the division of the modality of free hands

that the athletes realizes forms with the traditional characteristics

of north styles.

3. Other Taolus: It includes the no traditional taolus, and other

traditional taolus as the monk form and the drunk form. It includes

the acrobatics movements and all the others traditional taolus from

the Chinese wushu schools.

Traditional Taolu with weapons

1. Long weapons: bat and launches.

2. Short weapons: machete and kung fu sword.

3. Articulate weapons: Lan Tin Kwan (Simple Nunchaku), San Tin

Kwan (Nunchaku of 3 divisions), simple chain, simple whip, long

cane with the tip nunchaku, etc.

4. Double weapons: double machete, double sword, double dagger,

dual butterfly knife, broadsword and shield, double tiger claw hook,

knife fish tail, dual Nunchako, double tonfa, double chains, etc.

5. Other weapons: Kwan Dao, Pu Dao, Kau Wan Tou, Shovel with

half moon, dagger simple, simple butterfly knife, stiletto, hook tiger

claw simple, array, bank, cane flute, ax, short stick, spear, two-

sided, simple Tonfa, etc.

Toi Chao (combined fight) free hands and weapons

The rules are the same of the categories of Traditional Taolus with

free hands and weapons. Will prevail the male category when the

team were formed by men and women. If only one athlete use

weapon will be treated as if both were using. If the team has

athletes with different ages, will prevail the age of the older one.

The legal Toi Chao requires, at least, 3 athletes.

Taolus of internal styles

1. Simple form of Tai Chi Chuan: Execution time - until 5 minutes.

2. Yang style of Tai Chi Chuan: Execution time - until 4 minutes.

3. Other styles of Tai Chi Chuan: Execution time - until 4 minutes.

4. Styles Wu, Chen and Sun of Tai Chi Chuan: Execution time - until

4 minutes.

5. Other internal styles: Pa Kua, Hsing I, I Chuan, Zhou I Chuan and

others. Execution time - until 4 minutes.

6. Tai Ji Jian - Simple form with 32 moves with sword: Execution

time 4 minutes.

7. Internal styles with other weapons: Execution time - until 4

minutes.

OBS: The individual competitions could be presented

simultaneously by two athletes if is high number of applicants.

Warning: If the form exceed the allowed time, the athlete will be

punished with 0.01 point for each 10 seconds more of the limit time.

Togs

To the competition, the athlete must wears the traditional uniform

from your school and the chinese sneakers or low shoes.

Warning: Won't be difference between togs from north and south

styles of traditional kung fu of free hands and weapons.

Competitive Taolus

1. Compulsory Taolus: Nanquan / Changquan / Daoshu / Jianshu /

Gunshu / Qiangshu / Nandao (facão do sul) / Nangun - Execution

time - until 1'20'';

2. Peparatory Taolus with 32 positions: Nanquan / Changquan

(punho do norte) / Daoshu / Gunshu / Jianshu / Qiangshu

(lança);Nangun (bastão do sul) /Nandao Execution time - until 1'20'';

3. Tai Ji Quan: Compulsory of 42 moves of free hands. Execution

time - between 5 and 6 minutes.

4. Tai Ji Jian: Compulsory of 42 moves with sword. Execution time -

Between 4 and 6 minutes.

warning: Won't be difference between the traditional and new taolu

forms, will be only only category.

Criteria of Tiebreaker

1. Each athlete is evaluated by five judges, the highest and lowest

will be disregarded and then made the final average of the three

remaining notes;

2. In the case of the 1st draw, will be considered the sum of five

notes;

3. Having the 2nd draw, the two highest scores will be added;

4. Having the 3rd tie, the athlete shall repeat the same way;

5. If the tie persists, it is the athlete with the highest number of

entries in the event.

CRITERIA FOR NOTES

1. Beginner 6.00 to 7.50;

2. Intermediate from 7.00 to 8.50;

3. Enhanced from 8.00 to 9.50.

CRITERIA FOR EVALUATION OF Taolus

1. Posture of the feet and legs (low stance);

2. Speed;

3. Balance;

4. Concentration;

5. Difficulty;

6. Forgetfulness;

7. Failure (weapon breaking, falling, hitting the ground etc..);

8. Look (the correct direction of gaze).

ITEMS LOST IN THE EXECUTION OF Taolus

1. Get on the wrong side in the competition area: less 0.04 points in

the final average;

2. Posture of the legs performed inadequately: less than 0.02 points

in the final average;

3. Momentary loss of balance: less 0.03 points in the final average;

4. Fall to the ground including touch the floor with your hands: less

0.06 points in the final average;

5. Oblivion: less 0.02 points in the final average;

6. If the gun touching the floor or the competitor's body

accidentally: less 0.05 points in the final average;

7. Break the gun or dropping to the ground: loss of 0.05 points in

the final average;

8. In the case of the athlete miss the way it will be automatically

disqualified and not entitled to a new trial.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

1: Dear teachers and teachers: Aiming to bring our guests with a

quality event, we ask that teachers responsible for their athletes

and strictly follow the rules of the event.

2: Regulation: Every teacher should read with care and attention

regulation and general information before filling out the registration

form for their athletes.

3: Registration: There will be no refund of the registration, after

delivery of the same, the non-attendance of the athlete in the league

for any reason, by their absence at the time of competition, a

completed registration form incorrectly or disqualification during

competition .

4: Procedures at the event: Arrive at least one hour before the start

of the competitions. Upon reaching the site technicians will check

the registration of their athletes in chips glued on the entrance wall

of the place where it will be indicated by the organization.

The organization reserves the right to combine or separate

categories, if necessary, without notice.

Remember that the athlete will only be reassigned to categories

above his and never down. The athlete should be aware of your

competition area at the time of the call. For questions or corrections

in the dockets, shall proceed to the organization of the event

(secretary) who will be on duty to serve this purpose. All this

should be done before starting the competitions, because during

the event will not be accepted complaints. Athletes who are

enrolled in the wrong methods will be disqualified and not

relocated.

Warning: The athlete does not need to notify the central table that

your Taolu does not end in the same place. It can begin at any point

Taolu match area and end at any point

Awards: The athletes during the competition will be awarded with

medals custom 1st, 2nd and 3rd place

Attention: Athletes who compete in their own categories Taolus

handsfree or weapons, according to the category, should have an

average equal to or greater than:

Beginner 6.00 to 7.50,

Intermediate from 7.00 to 8.50

Advanced 8.00 to 9.50,

Otherwise will be disqualified.

Equipment: Each association shall bring the equipment of athletes

according to the categories in which you signed up. The

organization does not provide nor lend equipment.

Document: Every athlete must bring your identity card or driver's

affiliation granted by the organization to be presented at the

arbitration table centerpiece at the time of competition.

Disqualification: The call of the athletes will be made through a

microphone for 3 times. The athlete must attend the competition

area, being automatically disqualified if present after its category to

have entered the competition area.

How to get to the venue: Arriving at the center of Rio de Janeiro to

address New River Road and forward to the company's booth

Thousand and One / Macanese, adquir the passage to the Oyster

River via Unamar and drop in front of the Gym Poliesportivo

Tamoios. The trip from Rio de Janeiro to Tamoios lasts for 3 hours

in normal time, but remember that this is a tourist area and is on the

path to bridge Rio / Niterói and Via Lagos, so it is widely

recommended to have lengthy traffic jams in late week.

Referees: Referees will receive the organization of the event, lunch,

snack and water. The referee should wear slacks completely black

with no detail except referee combat, the organizers will provide the

shirt or vest after a course of arbitration. All arbitrators shall be

duly paid by the organization. Also remember that the hosting of

the referees, the hotel or accommodation will be for their account.

Ethics Committee: There will be an ethics committee of the

organization on duty throughout the event for judging cases of

unsportsmanlike conduct, disrespect, misbehavior, and other

disciplinary issues involving athletes, coaches, officials and

referees. For questions please contact the organizers.

We count on the cooperation of everyone, so that we can arrange a

high-level event, kindly asked teachers to pass this information to

their students, to avoid registrations at the last minute or fail to

attend an event as important as this.
