Supplementary Provisions:
The present Ordinance shall come into force asfrom April 1, 1946.
When this Ordinance comes into force, the existing
"East Asia Course" in government collegesof economics
shall be renamed " Oriental Economics Course."
When this Ordinance comes into force, the subjects
of study and the total number of school hours for the
students who are now in the 2nd year and upwards
shall be decided by the director of the collegein con-
sideration of both the former and present regulations.
When this Ordinance comes into force,the students
who are now in the regular'courses of Nagasaki, Nagoya
and Yokohama Colleges of Technical Management, shall
be enrolled in the corresponding classes of the regular
courses of Nagasaki, Nagoya and Yokohama Colleges of
Economics respectively.
The subjects of study and the total number of
school hours for the students referred to in the preced-
ing paragraph shall be decided by the director of the
college in consideration of the Regulations governing
Government Colleges of Economics and Ragulations
governing Government Colleges of Technical Manage-
ment.

Supplementary Provisions:
The present Ministerial Ordinance shallbe put into
force retrospectively from April 1, 1946.
The subjects of study and the number of the
hours to be assigned to the students who are in the
second year course or above at the time of the pro-
mulgation of this Ordinance, shall be decided by the
principals concerned after taking the old and new re-
gulations into consideration.

3. "A areas" shall mean Tokyo Metropolis (within
the limits of 35 Wards), Osaka city, Yokohama city,
Nagoya city, Kyoto c.ity, Kobe city, Fukuoka city,
and their adjoining cities, towns and villages special-
ly designated by prefectural governors with approval
of Director-General of Price Board. "B areas"
shall mean areas other than A areas.
4. The controlled selling prices mentioned in the
above list shall also be applied to frozen and ice-
stored meats.
5. Cattle carcasses shall be graded in conformity to
the standard qualities as follows:
Grade Standard quality
First (A) (1) Cows for draught or for meat, with not
less than 1 kan 500 momme of kidney fat.
(2) Steers for draught or for meat, with
not less than 1 kan 500 monne of kidney
fat.
However, cow or steer carcasses with less kidney
fat shall be graded First (A) if they have a meat utility
percentage of not less than 75.
First (B) (1) Cows for draught or for meat, with not
less than 1 kan of kidney fat.
(2) Bulls ^for draught or for meat, with
not less than 1 kan 500 momme of kidney
fat.
(3) Cows for milk with not less than 1 kan
500 momme of kidney fat.
However, cow or bull carcasses with less kidney, fat
shall be graded First (B) if they have a meat utility
percentage of not less than 72.
Second (1) Cows for draught or for meat, with not
.lessthan 500 momme of kidney fat.
(2) Cows and steers for draught or for
meat or.cows for milk, with not less than
500 momme of kidney fat.
(3) Cows for milk with not less than 1 kan
of kidney. ,r
However, cow or steer carcasses with less kidney
fat shall be graded Second if they have a meat utility

6. " Good meat" of beef shall mean allmeat from
First(A) grade carcasses,meat from First(B) grade
carcasses excluding " Fore-shank," " Flank," and
" Neck," and meat from Second grade carcasses
excluding "Fore-shank," "Hind-shank," "Flank,"
" Neck " and " Brisket," and " medium meat " shall
mean meat from First(A) grade and Second grade
carcasses excluding "good meat," arid meat from
Third grade and Fourth grade carcasses.
