FACT OR FICTION?

The first legal pad was invented in 1888 by Thomas W. Holley of Holyoke, when he started to collect various sorts of substandard paper scraps from various factories, and stitch them together in order to sell them as pads.

In the 1900’s, the modern legal pad evolved when a judge requested for a margin to be drawn on the left side of the paper. This was the first legal pad.
