The Lesson: Isaiah 50:5-9a The Lord God has opened my ear, and I was not rebellious, I turned not backward. The Epistle: James 2:14-18 What does it profit, my brethren, if a man says he has faith but has not works? Can his faith save him? An Act of Spiritual Communion for those who cannot now receive Jesus in the Blessed Sacrament

My Jesus, I believe that thou art truly present in the Most Holy Sacrament. I love thee above all things, and I desire to receive thee into my soul. Since I cannot at this moment receive thee sacramentally, come at least spiritually into my heart.

I embrace thee as if thou wert already there and unite myself wholly to thee. Never permit me to be separated from thee. Amen.
