This free service al-

lows library users to

stay up to date on their

accounts and receive

updates when items on

hold are ready to be picked up; no more waiting around for phone calls or looking

for e-mails in your inbox.

Sign up for the text message service, Log on to www.poplarbluff.org, clicking on

“My Account.” Enter your library card number or credential and password. From

there, click the tab labeled “Notification Preferences.” Select box labeled “notify

by text,” then enter your mobile number. Select your wireless carrier. Participation

in the text messaging service is optional: The library will still e-mail or phone to

notify you of holds should you prefer. Charges based on your cell phone’s text

messaging plan may apply.
