Off The Pitch 4
Chelsea returned to winning with three Spanish goals (1-3)
After five rounds of a
desert without knowing
the taste of victory and
the Club World Cup at
the door, Chelsea beat
Sunderland at the
Stadium of Light.
Fernando Torres scored
two and Juan Mata built
the triumph of blues.
Rafael Benitez asked goals
from Fernando Torres and
that's what its striker
offered. Soon after 11
minutes, 'El Niño' took an
assist from Eden Hazard to
inaugurate the strife,
repeating the dose before
the break, with a large well-
accomplished penalty.
The second half could not
get better. Juan Mata raised
to 0-3 at 49 minutes and
completely killed the hopes
of recovering at
Sunderland. By the end,
Martin O'Neill's men also
reduced, through A.
Johnson, at 66 minutes.
In the other matches ,
especially the seven
goals scored in the
victory at Norwich
City's ground Swansea
City (3-4). In an open
game, the pupils of
Chris Hughton added
his third win in five
games.
Aston Villa and Stoke
City annulled at Villa
Park (0-0), Southampton
hosted and won against
Reading out of the
relegation zone (1-0),
while QPR and Wigan
drew two balls at DW
Stadium (2-2 ), which
means that Harry
Redknapp's men have
did not lost for three
rounds for the Premier
League

Tottenham lets Everton turnaround
The team of Andre Villas-
Boas had the bird in the
hand, but let it fly. After a
game well done, the Spurs
were in front until the final
minutes, but relented before
the end of Everton pressure
and still lost the match.
Only in England!
After three consecutive wins,
the Londoners were not far
from achieving the fourth.
However, by the washing of
baskets is vintage and
Tottenham relaxed before the
final whistle.
The American Clint Dempsey
put the game in the hands of
the visitors on 76 minutes.
Villas-Boas moved and tried
to protect the team, maybe
too much. Is that the Toffees
have not given up and drew
upon the 90th minute,
through the South African
Steven Pienaar. Ball to center
and, soon after, Croatian
striker Jelavic turned the
contest for the Liverpool
team. Goodison Park was
down.
Thus, after three consecutive
draws, the set of David Moyes
returned to winning and took
fourth place in the
championship, with the same
26 points of Tottenham, which
fell to fifth.

Off The Pitch 6
MADchester Derby! Goals, emotion, heart
pounding until the end. Again,
the Manchester derby showed
that the 'El Clasico' has yet to
reach a big way a Man City-
Man United With two distinct
parts, the Red Devils finally
have the starlet of the meeting
and took the three points and
leadership isolated from the
Premier League to Old
Trafford.
Manchester City started
pressuring more, to send the
meeting, packed the support
coming from the benches of the
Etihad Stadium. But there was
Wayne Rooney. The England
international was lethal in the
first 45 minutes and materialize
the only two opportunities they
had to beat Joe Hart, at 16 'and
29'.
In the second half, more Man
City. Roberto Mancini
exchanged of Mario Balotelli
for Carlos Tevez and Argentine
tango with Aguero started to
bear fruit. At the hour of play
after a great confusion in the
area and two tremendous
defenses of De Gea, Yaya
Touré reduced. The citizens
believed they could draw and
enjoy the wear of Evra and
Rafael to score, this time with a
powerful shot from Pablo
Zabaleta.
But calm! As always, the
excitement lasted until the final
whistle. Against the run of play,
Tevez has committed a foul in
the right corner of the area and
his team paid dearly. Van Persie
asked Rooney to score the free
kick and not wasted, giving the
victory by 2-3 to the Red
Devils. Rio Ferdinand still had
time to quit bleeding after
being hit in the head with an
object and Tevez deserved to
be expelled for aggression to
the young Phil Jones.

Bayern wins and now is 14 points ahead of Dortmund
Only a collapse internally of
Bayern Munich will prevent
Jupp Heynckes's men steal
the Bundesliga title to
Borussia Dortmund. Today,
the formation of the Bavarian
defeated Augsburg out of
doors (0-2), while the pupils
of Jurgen Klopp allowed
Wolfsburg to leave Signal
Iduna Park with three points
in luggage (2-3).
The mega-Bundesliga leaders
always controlled the match
and totaled three points with a
goal in each half. In the first
half, Thomas Muller did not
missed a penalty and, in the last
45 minutes, the returning Mario
Gomez also did taste the foot.
This year, unlike last season,
Borussia Dortmund have been
more cohesive in the
Champions League than the
Bundesliga. This Saturday,
another defeat. Marco Reus
even placed the home team in
front, but Diego (36 '), a
penalty that earned expulsion
of M. Schmelzer and Naldo (41
') led Wolfsburg to half time in
front of the marker.
At the hour of play, Polish
J. Blaszczykowski still
leveled the match at two
balls, but the striker Bas
Dost, signed from
Heerenveen in the summer
market, signed victory
outsider, assisted by Diego,
at 73rd '.
In this context, Bayern
Munich now leads with 41
points and only if
Leverkusen could approach.
Borussia Dortmund is third
with 27 points and
distanced themselves from
places of descent, now
totaling 19 points.
In other matches this
afternoon, also highlight in
the defeat of Schalke 04
away in the field of
Stuttgart (3-1), another
opponent straight from
Bayern Munich lost more
three points in this 16th
Matchday. Moreover,
Freiburg hosted and won
against Furth (1-0) and
Nuremberg won without
problems against Fortuna
Düsseldorf (2-0).
