STARTING POINTAlfredo Brillembourg and Hubert Klumpner have been heading the Chair for Architectureand Urban Design at ETH Zürich since 2010. The exhibition is a retrospective of theChair's "Urban Think Tank" work. It showcases twenty samples, representative ofdiverse research approaches, analyses and development studies about informal types ofsettlements around the world, together with provocative questions and completedbuildings.
SOLUTIONThe exhibition is designed as a colourful dwelling. Visitors can observe plans, drawings, graffiti, and photos on the camp's fabric walls. The organisers wanted a portable, highquality exhibition that was easy to put up and pull down. The fabric walls are made of avariety of Création Baumann staples. Digital Dense Panama has been used for digitallyprinted internal partitions while Sport was chosen for the "lofts" (that is, the outer fabricpanels) and the central guidance system.
