Dear Friend of the League:
On Friday, February 2 and Saturday, February 3, 2018, The Junior League of Houston, Inc. will host the 70th Annual Charity Ball – Une Belle Nuit. This event celebrates the beauty the League creates in the lives of those it touches and the beautiful partnerships the League is part of throughout the Greater Houston Area. On behalf of the League, the Board of Directors, and the Charity Ball Committee, we invite you to partner with the League as an underwriter for the 2018 Charity Ball.
The Junior League of Houston has honored its history of community service by recognizing both volunteers and donors at Charity Ball for seventy years. More than 600 guests attend the black-tie event, which features a cocktail reception, seated dinner, one-of-a-kind live show, auction and dancing. The Charity Ball, the League’s largest annual fundraiser, raises critical funds to develop and maintain volunteer projects.
Since 1925, the Junior League of Houston has partnered with organizations to deliver services and assistance directly to those in need, delivering positive change through the efforts of its highly trained and empowered female volunteers. In 2017 – 2018, more than 1,400 dedicated volunteers, 82 percent of whom work outside of the home, will contribute over 100,000 hours of service in the Houston community through the League’s 38 community projects and other volunteer initiatives. The mentoring relationships fostered within many of these community projects and between League members cultivate civic leadership and a tradition of service. This legacy of service is made possible by the generosity of donors like you.
Thank you for your interest and commitment to making a difference in this community. We are grateful for your support and hope you will join us as an underwriter for Une Belle Nuit, allowing the League to continue in its mission of “Building A Better Community.”

Founded in 1925, The Junior League of Houston, Inc.
is an organization of women committed to
promoting voluntarism, developing the potential of women, and
improving communities through the effective action and leadership of
trained volunteers.
The Junior League of Houston embraces this mission, bringing beauty
through service to the Greater Houston Area. From addressing critical
issues such as children’s health and education and abuse of women and
children, to enhancing the community through cultural enrichment, the
League continues to adapt to meet the evolving needs of its membership
and the community.
The Junior League trains volunteers to be effective in the community
well beyond their membership requirements. With nearly 1,500 active
members and over 3,000 sustaining members, the League encourages
mentorship and development, cultivating a lifetime of civic service for
thousands of women.
Through the achievements of its members and generous donors,
the League will contribute more than $2 million in volunteer time and
direct financial support to 38 community projects and other volunteer
initiatives in 2017 – 2018. The League is able to triple the value of each
donation received by pairing it with trained volunteers.
The Junior League of Houston will continue
Building A Better Community and looks forward to celebrating
this beautiful legacy with you at Une Belle Nuit in February!
