ENVIRONMENTAL CLEARANCE

Ministry of Environment & Forests (MOEF), Govt. of India had issued a notification

on 27th January, 1994 making it mandatory for 30 types of activity (Schedule –I) to

take Environmental Clearance from MOEF.

On 7th July, 2004 Ministry of Environment & Forests (MOEF), Govt. of India issued

a notification and included following as item no. 31 & 32 in the above notification

making it mandatory to take Environmental Clearance:

1. Acoustic Enclosures [when D.G. Sets is kept outdoor] : To reduce the noise level, an

acoustic chamber is built with proper air cooling & ventilation system as per

requirement of Central Pollution Control Board.

2. Acoustic Treatment [when D.G. Set is kept indoor] : To reduce the noise level,

acoustic door, acoustic lining of walls, air ventilation of room is done to reduce the

noise level as per specifications of Central Pollution Control Board .
